Before a child leaves, review the notice information and any deposit that applies to the family's account. Wonderschool's eligible unenrollment billing workflow can create a final invoice when the recorded short-notice amount, after an applicable deposit credit, leaves a positive balance owed.
The workflow uses the settlement information recorded through the unenrollment process. The resulting invoice can include a short-notice fee and a deposit credit when part of a deposit offsets the amount. It is not a universal calculation of every charge, credit, refund, or disputed amount on a family's account.
If the recorded settlement is zero or the school owes the family, this particular workflow does not create an invoice. Older records without the necessary settlement information are also outside this path. A missing invoice should not be interpreted as proof that every financial question has been resolved.
The invoice enters the normal billing lifecycle. Its initial draft state is not a promise that it waits indefinitely for manual review. Depending on the family's payment arrangement, the invoice may be sent or scheduled for autopay, with the due date tied to the recorded unenrollment date. Review the underlying details before completing a workflow that can initiate billing.
Confirm the notice information and deposit application before completing the departure workflow. Tell the family which invoice covers the remaining amount and what its current status means. If another person handles billing, pass along the specific record so the family receives one consistent explanation.
