Availability: Finder Analytics launched first in New Mexico in July 2026. Ask Wonderschool about access for your network.
Families may find a program online and still need help reaching the next step. For an agency team, the useful question is where that journey slows: viewing a profile, making an inquiry, or arranging a tour. Finder Analytics helps authorized network teams review those stages separately.
Wonderschool Finder Analytics brings network activity into a dedicated dashboard so authorized teams can review how families engage with their child care finder. The first version was enabled for New Mexico in July 2026. It provides a daily-refreshed view of supported activity, rather than a real-time count of every family seeking care.
The July 2026 New Mexico release includes listing views, leads, tour requests and scheduled tours, alongside network information about provider engagement. Time-range controls help teams examine activity over a consistent period. These measures answer different questions: a profile view shows interest, an inquiry shows a next step, and a scheduled tour shows that a conversation has progressed.
They are not interchangeable. A lead is not an enrollment, an enrollment record is not proof of sustained attendance, and activity on a finder does not represent every child care need in a state. An effective review starts by checking each metric's definition, the reporting window and when the data was updated.
Consider a program receiving listing views but few inquiries. Start by reviewing its profile and contact path with the provider. If inquiries arrive but tours do not follow, ask how the provider handles those conversations. These are questions for follow-up, not proof that a particular cause explains the pattern.
For agencies working across family child care and center-based programs, that distinction matters. A small home-based provider and a multi-classroom center may have different capacity, staffing and response patterns. Review the local context before applying the same expectation to every program.
For teams responsible for CCDF-funded child care access, finder engagement can inform conversations about consumer information and provider participation. It can help identify where additional outreach or support may be useful. It does not replace subsidy eligibility decisions, licensing records or the agency's authoritative reporting processes.
For pre-K administration, finder activity is also distinct from coordinated enrollment. A family searching for care has not necessarily submitted a pre-K application or received a placement. Wonderschool offers coordinated enrollment as a separate solution for that application-to-placement workflow.
Florida's early learning Finder, Indiana's Early Learning Marketplace and New Mexico's child care search give families state-specific places to explore programs. They are useful examples of the public experience that sits before an inquiry or application. Their presence here does not imply that all three states have the same analytics configuration.
The Hunt Institute's 2026 National Child Care Finder Scale ranked Florida first and New Mexico second. That recognition evaluates the finder experience. It is not a ranking of this analytics release, coordinated enrollment or measured enrollment outcomes.
The New Mexico rollout uses a daily data refresh. Check the freshness information in the dashboard before using a figure in a report.
Availability depends on the network's configuration and authorized access. The initial rollout was New Mexico. Ask Wonderschool about your network rather than assuming a public Finder includes the same administrative dashboard.
No. Search and referral help families explore options. Coordinated enrollment supports a different workflow involving applications and placement. Teams should choose reporting measures that match the step they are trying to improve.
