Our Teachers
My name is Aisha, and I originally started my program after the birth of my first child. I had worked with a family member to run a daycare with them, and now my daughter is in 5th grade and my son is in 3rd grade, they we’re one of the many students I care for in my program with my mother as an energetic and passionate assistant. I have been working at this address since 2014 and have supported students from their birth to their enrollment in elementary school; I love what I do!

Philosophy
At Aisha’s Bilingual Family Wonderschool, every child is given the space to develop a sense of self through a structured environment that meets their individual needs. Your child will be warmly welcomed to our space each day and move through a range of activities and free play that encourages their ability to express their interests and create relationships with us and each other. We are able to help students socially, academically, and at the appropriate developmental level in both English and Spanish, which are used throughout the day.
Location
Located in the Evergreen area of San Jose, our program is a single family home with a fenced-in backyard where students can pick and eat fruits from our plum, nectarine, and pomegranate trees. Right off of Quimby and White, our program is less than 5 minutes from the Eastridge Mall and south of Tully Rd.
About our program
At Aisha’s Bilingual Family Wonderschool, we believe that students should spend their time in an atmosphere that is fun and safe. This gives students the chance to grow in a place where they can be independent and truly feel like they are in a “home away from home.”
Our communication about your child’s progress will be shared with you during pick-up and drop-off but also in ways that help you understand your child’s development. We have worked with families of children who were typically developing or who required additional support and have seen all of our students make progress, especially when we can consistently check in about a child and work together to help them.
Children’s interest should guide their time with us. We use a unit-based approach to ensure that our curriculum is supporting student knowledge and language acquisition, but your child is encouraged to spend time in ways that interest them. From our art area to the cozy book space, we give each child the opportunity to develop deep interest in our varying topics.
Healthy development means healthy eating. All meals are cooked in our home and abide by federal recommendations for diet based on age. In addition, students love to pick fruit from the various fruit trees in our backyard and enjoy them as part of their snack.
