Hello! I am Parrish Brandon, the founder of Playful Melodies Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 14 years of experience working with young children.
Philosophy
At Playful Melodies Preschool, we help your child develop their natural voice in a friendly, caring environment. We are called Playful Melodies because we are inspired by music and its effect on early childhood. Music, being a symbol of emotions, melody, and patterns, is a beautiful foundation for early learning. Studies show that early exposure to music is key to a child’s growing mind and helps children do better in academics later on in life. The director, Parrish, plays live piano for the children and inspires them through the different notes of their lives.
Additionally, we serve fresh, home-cooked meals, and teach American Sign Language. At Playful Melodies Wonderschool, we orchestrate the children’s day with fun and love.
Location
Playful Melodies Wonderschool is located in a bright, warm single family home in the Gardena neighborhood.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning).
Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!
At Playful Melodies Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.
About our program
Playful Melodies Wonderschool was formed by Parrish Brandon, a mother, and educator for several years. Parrish holds her BFA in Business Administration and HR. She is a self-taught musician and comes from a family of homecare educators. Playful Melodies Wonderschool also is a place for afterschool children who need a break from large school learning. We work with children of all ages and stages and offer private piano lessons too!

3. Submit an Enrollment Application
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
4. Enroll
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
