Hello! I am Jessica, the founder of Seeds of Love Wonderschool, I’m a psychologist and we moved to the U.S. due to my husband’s work and eventually decided to make this our home.

I was immersed in early education at a young age, as my mother owned a kindergarten.

As a mom of two, a son and a daughter who are now grown, I’ve always had a deep love for children. Being around them, guiding them, and helping shape their character brings me so much joy. I saw a real need in our community for more personal, heart-centered childcare options, which inspired me to open a small, bilingual home-based childcare.

At our childcare, we focus not only on early education but also on teaching little ones to become kind, respectful, and thoughtful individuals. Each month, we explore new themes and activities that support their growth emotionally, socially, and cognitively. We also help children learn how to navigate challenges and solve problems in healthy ways.

Our program is intimate, nurturing, and designed to feel like an extension of your family. I would love to welcome you into our community and be part of your child’s early learning journey.

Children are like little seeds: when we give them love and dedication to grow, they become gorgeous trees, with strong roots and good values.

We’re so glad we found Seeds of Love and grateful for the 2 years our son spent under Jessica’s care. Our son attended from 2 to 4 years old - when he first started he had a difficult adjustment to a group setting but Jessica was very supportive in easing him in and he soon acclimated and grew to love the nurturing environment, full of fun activities and wonderful friends.

We enjoyed seeing daily photos and getting updates of the creative activities - science experiments, cooking classes, and painting being some of our son’s favorite activities. Special occasions, including holidays and birthdays, are celebrated at Seeds of Love, and it was fun to witness the excitement of the children there. Jessica truly thinks of all the little details in curriculum and special occasions, and she is great about relaying updates specific to each child, as well as making sure to assist with certain developmental milestones.

My family moved to the area in the early spring of 2020, when it seemed everything was starting to shut down due to the pandemic. I was in the process of relocating for a new job and had a huge task ahead of me—-finding childcare for my 4-year-old. Being out of state at the time, and not being too familiar with the area, I thought finding a trustworthy child care option was going to be impossible. And I was dreading the idea of having to look at options further out (due to LA traffic). However, I was lucky to come across Jessica w/Seeds of Love via the Wonderschool website—-and I was ecstatic to find that she was literally a few blocks away!

I used the Wonderschool platform to book a virtual tour. In no time, I had a confirmed time. Jessica contacted me, and I explained to her that I was currently out of state, but that my husband was already in the local area. She was kind enough to conduct 2 virtual tours, giving us both the opportunity to view her care environment, as well as ask her any questions we had. My husband had a lot of safety/health precaution questions (again, this was during the height of the pandemic)—and he felt she was taking every precaution to keep her kiddos safe. When I spoke with w/her, we used facetime—she was able to show me her license/certifications and was able to show me the outside play areas, where parents enter, the play areas, where the kids would eat, where they would use the restroom, etc. Everything looked super clean and well-organized. When we finally moved down, Jessica set up a day/time where we my daughter could come meet her, get introduced to the space, etc. We were there for maybe an hour and my daughter loved checking out all the toys she had on hand. I loved that all the toys were wood-based/non-toxic or easy to wipe down (think—Montesorri-like toys, non-toxic toys like Haba/wood IKEA). But really, what made me comfortable, is the way Jessica interacted with my daughter. She was kind, spoke to her in a gentle/quiet manner, and gave her space to explore things. Jessica also informed me that she speaks English and Spanish and that she will sometimes teach the kids some things in Spanish—such as numbers, letters, colors etc. I was so glad she mentioned this, as we had plans of possibly having our daughter enter a dual immersion program in the future. The following week, our daughter started her first day with Jessica, and the other 5 children that were already receiving care from her. Our daughter loved it! AND—she went back to taking naps! WIN! Jessica sent us a text on a daily basis, letting us know if our daughter ate her lunch if she went down for a nap, etc. And it was always great to see her posting daily photos of the kids interacting via the Wonderschool app that only the parents could access. We also liked that the kids were all different ages. Having a small intimate group, and different ages were GREAT four our child’s development. She became best friends with a girl who was her age. But also, being with the younger children, taught her how to interact with different age groups, how to be gentle with young ones, how to be an example etc. At some point, she was referring to one of the kids as “my brother.” But that’s the nice thing about Seeds of Love—-it’s like a little family. And Jessica’s actions really showed that she cared for the kids as if they were her own. Eventually, we moved out of the area (an hour away)—and moved on to a pre-k program. Thankfully, the routine our daughter had with Jessica, prepared her well for the structure and routine that was in place at her new Pre-K program. Fast forward, over a year later—our daughter is currently in her first year of a Dual Immersion Spanish/English Kindergarten program. She loves it—and is learning so quickly! She had a step up, in learning so many things with Jessica. Every once in a while, our daughter tells us, “I miss—Ms. Jessica.” She also continues to tell us that she misses her best friend—whom she met in the Seeds of Love program. We couldn’t have asked for better child care. We always felt our daughter was safe. We literally got to see (with photos) what our child was doing each day. Our daughter developed social and language skills that prepared her for Kindergarten. And, the relationships built have had a lasting impression on our daughter. - Brittany J. Placing our son at Seeds of Love was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! I can’t say enough great things about Jessica and Valeria– they are the most loving people and we are so grateful to have had our son under their care. Our son was always super excited to go there and talked about the teachers and the kids constantly (still does till this day). I was always so impressed with the activities they would do such as learning words and numbers in Spanish, cooking classes, soccer, lab experiments and so much more. The daily photos and updates were also definitely a huge plus!!! Our son actually had some feeding issues as well, but Jessica was able to work with him and even introduce him to foods that he would never try at home. My daughter attended Seeds of Love Wonderschool and I am so passionate about how lucky we were to have found the program! I feel really lucky that set her up for a lifetime of love in learning. I have to say a couple of my favorite things when it comes to Seeds of Love was the fact that we were able to use the app so we always knew what was going on. We got daily photos, always had updates on what was happening throughout the day, and there was always a set schedule with a plan in place even if it was scheduling free playtime. It was nice knowing that there was always reading and grows and fines motor skills being worked on, with craft projects and art and things like that.

One of our other favorites is the immersion in Spanish. The staff did a great job of making it fun for the kids and Olivia still weeks later not only does she ask about her teachers and her classmates, which is bittersweet, but she’s also still speaking Spanish and wants to keep learning that so that’s been a fortunate blessing that was kind of unexpected to come out of the program.

But, in general, I have to say you totally won the lottery if you could get in with Seeds of Love Wonderschool. The staff is really amazing and so compassionate, caring, and really just treats all the children as if they were their own. Again, we just felt really lucky. Can’t begin to describe how much gratitude I have for Ms. Jessica and Ms. Valeria in the year that our son was under their care at “Seeds of Love Wonderschool”. We didn’t fully realize the curriculum as well as the learnings and development in our son until we moved and started him at another Montessori school. For starters, he began at 15 months old, and he simply thrived. He learned and understood Spanish, had a love of dance, play, creativity (with all of the different arts and crafts the teachers had on a daily basis. It’s SO different now having tried other schools in a different state- how much effort and 1 to 1 attention Ms. Jessica and Ms. Valeria put into the child’s wellbeing. What we do know now, is that he’s quite ahead of his peers, having learned and absorbed so much. Our daughter, Julia, attended Seeds of Love from when she was 19 months until she was 3 years and 3 months when she outgrew the school. Before Julia went to Seeds of Love, my mom took care of her while I worked, so I was nervous about the transition. But it couldn’t have gone better - Jessica and Valeria - take such good care of the kids that I felt completely at ease leaving Julia with them while I went to work. Julia LOVED her teachers and going to school - she loved the elaborate arts and crafts that Valeria created (she’s an art student and very imaginative). She enjoyed her friends at school - Jessica does a great job teaching the kids how to form meaningful relationships with each other, respect each other, and love each other. Seeds of Love is so much more than a daycare, it’s really a preschool. They do a lot of hands-on learning and free play with quality educational toys. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors together and learning about nature, birds, bugs, and squirrels or learning about the weather or learning the alphabet and counting - Jessica does a great job making learning fun and interactive. Some of the bonuses are that it’s a bilingual school, so the kids also learn Spanish and also Jessica has a psychology background, which means she teaches the children how to handle conflicts with emotional intelligence. Where do I begin?! Our daughter was at Seeds of Love from 15 months until 38 months. Jessica and Valeria were instrumental in our daughter’s development! They gave her so much love, care, attention, and patience. Helped her through potty training, learning to play with and respect others, sharing, and having manners. They really brought out her love for science with the lab experiments, her love for flora and fauna as they explore the park & outside area, and her love for sports, playing soccer, and other activities on the lawn. Our daughter was at Seeds of Love for 1.5 years and from Day 1 it was evident that Jessica was extremely talented, knowledgeable, had amazing instincts, was so passionate about children and cared deeply for every little person who was in her program.

She is extremely communicative with daily updates via text, a ton of frameable photos via the Wonder School app and extremely responsive. All the families at Seeds of Love were also wonderful, which is a testament to Jessica and the community that she builds.

She supported us during potty training, helped us overcome some picky eating with her healthy and varied snacks, and most importantly instilled incredible values pertaining to sharing, being kind, being gentle and being patient to our child.

Our daughter always came home with a craft or activity which was intentional and showed Jessica is very deliberate with the activities the children do during the day. Their outdoor time is active with lots of games and exercise.

Philosophy

At Seeds of Love Wonderschool, we teach children to be kind first and foremost. Our golden rule is, “do unto others what you want them to do unto you.”

We believe children grow, learn, and thrive when they feel safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and learnings.

Children will hear and speak another language in addition to English. We believe that learning a second language at a young age encourages a child’s intellectual and social development. We are a bilingual program – daily care and activities will be provided in both Spanish and English.

We are going to work together defining goals for your children, increasing their strengths and supporting their needs.

Location

Seeds of Love Wonderschool originated in Playa Vista and now in Westchester, in a beautiful home with a thoughtfully designed space for a small group of children, filled with natural light and large windows that create a welcoming and comfortable environment.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and sensory area (for spatial awareness and learning through the five senses).

Children will have some outdoor time every day at a local park or playground. Connecting with nature lets children gain deeper knowledge of themselves and the world.

At Seeds of Love Wonderschool, we want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.

About our program

At our program, we believe that every child is like a little seed full of potential, ready to blossom into a strong, confident tree. Our goal is to nurture that growth by helping children become lifelong learners and well rounded individuals.

We guide children in setting goals, being kind, staying organized, caring for their bodies, and making healthy choices. Through enriching activities like yoga, manners, soccer, dance, cooking, experiments, and arts and crafts, children learn by doing, discovering, and having fun.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/seeds-of-love-wonderschool-2183/apply – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
