Our Teachers

My name is Danel Andrews (Ms. A), and I am the director of Young Scholars Pathway. With nearly a decade of experience in the educational field, I am dedicated to advocating for all children, ensuring they meet and exceed their developmental milestones. My commitment lies in fostering an environment where every child can thrive and become their best self.

Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience working with various school districts and in daycare settings. My roles have included substitute teacher, applied behavior analyst, and associate and assistant teacher for both children with special needs and those in general education, as well as school-age teacher. This diverse background has given me a well-rounded understanding of the educational landscape and the unique challenges faced by every child.

As a parent, I empathize with families and recognize the importance of clear communication regarding their children’s progress and needs. I prioritize building strong partnerships with parents to ensure they feel supported and informed throughout their children’s educational journeys.

I hold multiple Associate degrees in Behavioral Science, Child Development, and Arts, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health Science. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Social Work to further enhance my skills and knowledge. My ongoing education and varied experience reflect my unwavering dedication to supporting all children and families in our community.

Philosophy

At Young Scholars Pathway, we hold a deep-seated belief that early childhood is a unique and precious phase of life that should be embraced with joy and curiosity. Our philosophy centers around the notion that childhood should be an enjoyable journey, where learning happens naturally and effortlessly within a safe and nurturing environment. We recognize the intrinsic value of fun in a child’s learning process. Play is not just an activity; it is a fundamental way. A core component of our philosophy is providing a safe space where children feel secure and comfortable. We believe that when children feel safe, they are more likely to take risks, explore new ideas, and develop a sense of independence.

Our environment is designed to foster emotional, physical, and psychological safety, allowing children to focus on learning and growth.Through which children explore, discover, and make sense of the world around them. By integrating play into our daily routines, we create an atmosphere that encourages children to engage actively and enthusiastically in their learning journey. Children are naturally curious and have an inherent desire to learn. Our approach harnesses this natural inclination by creating opportunities for children to learn at their own pace and in their own way. We facilitate learning experiences that are organic and child-led, ensuring that each child’s unique interests and abilities are nurtured and celebrated. We understand that children comprehend their world best through hands-on, sensory-based experiences.

These experiences are crucial in helping children develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. Our curriculum is rich with activities that stimulate the senses and engage children in meaningful, real-world contexts. From tactile play with various materials to exploring nature and engaging in imaginative play, we provide a multitude of sensory experiences that support holistic development. At Young Scholars Pathway, our early childhood philosophy is rooted in the belief that childhood should be a joyous time filled with exploration, discovery, and natural learning. By creating a fun, safe, and sensory-rich environment, we support children in understanding their world and developing a lifelong love for learning. We are committed to nurturing each child’s potential and guiding them on their unique educational journey.

About our program

At Young Scholars Pathway, we stand out by prioritizing each child’s individual growth through personalized support and fostering a lifelong love for learning. We understand that each child is unique, with their own pace and style of learning. Our educators create individualized learning plans tailored to the specific needs, interests, and developmental stages of each child. This personalized approach ensures that every child receives the attention and resources they need to thrive. By maintaining small class sizes, we ensure that each child gets ample one-on-one interaction with our educators. This allows for more personalized guidance and support, fostering stronger relationships between children and their caregivers.

We regularly assess each child’s progress and provide constructive feedback. This helps us to continuously adapt our teaching strategies to better support each child’s learning journey. We incorporate children’s interests into our lesson plans, making learning relevant and enjoyable. Whether a child is fascinated by dinosaurs, space, or art, we weave these interests into our educational activities to maintain high levels of engagement. Our team consists of highly qualified and passionate educators who are dedicated to the growth and well-being of each child. We look forward to meeting you!
