Our Teachers

LaSherri Leathers is a dedicated early childhood educator and proud alumna of North Carolina Central University, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in early childhood education. With 20 years of experience, including 15 as a childcare educator, LaSherri has a deep passion for nurturing and inspiring young minds.

Meet Ms. Barbara Tucker. She has over 10 years of experience in childcare and has dedicated the last five years to Wondertots Learning Academy as a lead teacher. Ms. Tucker has a true passion for young children. She educates, pours her knowledge into, and shares her love with each child she serves. She goes above and beyond to ensure every child individually receives what they need to grow and succeed.

In her free time, she supports families by providing care during date nights, vacations, and work events. Her gift has truly made room for her at Wondertots, and we are grateful to have her as part of our family.

As the owner of Wonder Tots Learning Academy, she has created a warm, welcoming environment where learning and fun go hand in hand—a true ‘home away from home’ for children. Her commitment to quality early childhood education is driven by her love for children and her belief in the importance of building strong educational foundations.

LaSherri is happily married to James Ross and is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, ages 13 and 3. Her family inspires her daily to continue making a positive impact in the lives of young learners and their families.

Admissions

“Welcome to Wonder Tots Learning Academy! Take a moment to tour our facility and see if we’re the right fit for your family. After your visit, I will follow up to create a plan that works best for you. I’ll send a link to complete the necessary paperwork, and we’ll schedule a ‘Welcome Day,’ where your child can enjoy a half-day experience to explore our nurturing environment independently.”
