Our Teachers

LaTida Adams, owner of A Brilliant Beginning Daycare, has dedicated her life to nurturing young minds. With a BS in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development from North Carolina Central University and a Master’s in Leadership, Advocacy, and Public Policies in Early Childhood from UNC Wilmington, LaTida’s educational background reflects her commitment to child development.

Her journey began in 1999, after the birth of her son, she struggled to find quality childcare that met her high standards. Inspired by this challenge, she decided to create the nurturing environment she envisioned, launching A Brilliant Beginning Daycare. Her passion for working with children was discovered through caring for family children and children in her neighborhood. LaTida’s mission is to provide a safe, enriching, and joyful place for children and build a healthy partnership with families to ensure each child thrives. She truly loves what she does and is committed to making a positive, lasting impact on every child she crosses paths with.

Our son started at A Brilliant Beginning when he was six months old and has thrived under the care and love of Ms. Latida and her family. This daycare is a secret gem. We are located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Minutes away from Downtown Durham, Duke University & Hospital, Chapel Hill, and Research Triangle Park. We are considered to be in the center of Durham.

If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start hosting tours again in the future.
3. Submit an Enrollment Application If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option is not available, you can message the program director.
