Our Teachers

The Children’s Room was born out of my desire to see my children experience moments of curiosity, exploration, and learning through play. As my children grew, my love for child development has grown. Over the years I have developed skills to build strong relationships with families. I believe that acknowledging the culture and characteristics of each family, builds confidence and a positive self-image of the child. Children learn about themselves and the world around them through social interactions. This is well described in the poem “Children Learn, What they Live.” I have developed my philosophy and curriculum using a combination of practices influenced by the theories of Bronfenbrenner, Montessori, and Piaget. I am a 5 Star Licensed Child Care with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development and currently working towards my BK Licensure.

Philosophy

Dear Families:

Please note that our program is currently accepting only Part-time enrollment due to COVID restrictions. We now offer a concentration of developmental lessons designed to engage children in purposeful play during a condensed schedule.

Here at The Children’s Room, our mission is to serve children and their families by providing interactive, high-quality early learning experiences. We partner with parents upon enrollment to provide opportunities to develop a positive self-image by building confidence through success. Our learning environment is designed with developmentally appropriate activities that foster expressive language interactions, social skills, problem-solving, and intellectual competencies. We model growth set attitudes that encourage individuals to be seekers of knowledge through exploration, to become lifelong learners.
