Our Teachers

Latasha Mack, Owner and Director

Latasha Mack is the Owner and Director of Young Achievers, an after-school care program she founded two and a half years ago. With a background in early childhood education and a deep passion for youth development, Latasha built Young Achievers to provide a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for children after school. Under her leadership, the program has earned a strong reputation for its engaging activities, academic support, and strong community connections. Latasha is committed to helping children thrive and continues to grow Young Achievers as a trusted resource for families.

Philosophy

We believe that children are inherently capable and competent. They form and understanding of themselves and their places in the world through their interactions with others and their surroundings. We strive to offer programs and that inspire curiosity, creativity, and innovation, and that build skills- all while doing something they love.

Location

We’re in the historic Medgar Evers District of Jackson, on a quiet stretch of Medgar Evers Blvd in a cozy, single-family home setting. With easy access to public transit and major roads, everything from nearby parks to local schools like Northwest Middle and Bailey APAC is just a short drive away. We’re minutes from downtown Jackson, close to the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument, and less than 15 minutes from the airport. It’s a peaceful, convenient spot—perfect for busy families looking for safe, reliable after-school care.
