My name is Dr. Robinson, the founder and director of Tender Care Preschool and Tutorial. I have a degree from Hinds Community College in Early Childhood Development. I have a BA from Jackson State University in Sociology. Finally a Master’s and Doctorate in Christian Counseling from New Foundation Seminary. I am a credentialed director in the state of Mississippi focused on children with special needs.
I have been teaching and caring for young children for over 40 years through Tender Care alongside being a children’s pastor for many years. I am a parent and a grandparent. I am passionate about early education and truly love having an impact on the earliest stage of children’s academic development. I am excited to meet you and provide your children with the highest quality care and education.
Philosophy
We follow the play-based curriculum philosophy, which is a hands-on learning experience to developing skills designed to provide a firm foundation for later academic success. We help your child develop feelings of security, accomplishment, and self-esteem while living the daily and weekly rhythms that are woven into the cycle of the year. On any given day, we may enjoy art, storytelling, movement, and local excursions to experience the world around us. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through unstructured play, which fosters lifelong creativity and intellectual curiosity.
Location
We’re located in Northwest Hills Subdivision off West Northside Dr. Our school is located in an area that community oriented and we provide activities for family engagement. Our school has a community garden which we provide fresh fruit & vegetables for the elderly
