Achievements
Philosophy
We believe… • Children are precious and must receive care from adults who are capable and caring–whose values enable them to be excellent role models. • Children should experience numerous positive learning milestones, leading to an increased sense of competence and independence. • Children’s play is extremely vital to healthy physical development, acceptable social skills, and cognitive growth. • Teachers, drawing upon their training and experience, must create an appropriate educational environment which carefully guides children from one developmental level to another. • Parents contribute to and enhance the quality of care offered at Learning Adventures Child Care.
Location
Our location is conveniently located on Michigan Ave near Gratiot in Marysville and offers a large and safe outdoor play space! Beginning in September 2026, we will have a NEW indoor play gym!
About our program
We will offer a play-based curriculum along with additional extended programs including Sign Language in all classrooms, Music Explorers and STEM programs offered in the afternoons starting in the 26/27 school year in our classrooms with children ages 2 1/2 and older.
We offer an AM snack and PM snack and ask parents to provide a non-refrigerated lunch for their children. Our classrooms consist of an non-mobile infant classroom (0-6 mos), Tiny Movers (6-12/13 mos), Younger Toddler classroom (12/13 - 21 months), Older Toddler classroom (21 months - 30 months), Young Explorers (2 1/2 years - 3 yrs +). We also have a Preschool room (3-4 year old), PreK room (3 1/2 - 4 1/2 year old) and an Begindergarten room (4 - 5 years old and going to Kindergarten the following year).
During the summer months we offer a school age summer camp with fun activities daily and weekly themes!
During the day for all of our children we will follow a daily routine including music and movement, welcome time, reading and singing, small group and large group activities (fine motor, gross motor, art and sensory activities). We will focus on preschool and pre-kindergarten lessons during the day hours for our children ages 2 ½ years and older, beginning their preparation for Kindergarten and learning.
