Our Teachers

Michelle Harder, Owner I have many year of college education. I started in Early Childhood education with the desire to become a Special Education Teacher. I realized many years ago, that I have a love for teaching in a non-traditional setting. Teaching of many other skills other than ones that come from a book. My favorite thing about what I do is developing relationships with the children that I watch and their families. I believe in a kind loving environment a child can express who they are as an individual. This allows me to nurture and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years.

Philosophy

At Michelle’s Munchkins I strive to create a safe and caring community of young explores. I encourage a place where a child can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together.

I believe that children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. I have experience in creating space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it.

Location

I am located in a quiet neighborhood in Marysville. I have a single family home. I am located acrossed the street from Gardens Elementary. We are located near our community Library and a quick walk to a park. I also have a nice playscape in my backyard. My yard is fenced. I also have a nice paved area that is also fenced for toddler bike, balls or whatever the child wants to do. I’m located about 5 minute from I-94 in a peaceful, quiet location!

About our program

Teaching, learning and growing in a loving kind environment. I enjoy loving the children where they are at in a kind, calm environment where they can be hands on with learning. To grow them in a way of kindness to their peers and respect to others. We will do different outside play, discovery and child-lead learning. I will use the interest of the children as my starting place everytime!
