Our Teachers

Kelly Hong, Director Kelly graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in Economics and minor in Mathematics. However, true passion lies in helping children grow into confident, curious, and well-rounded individuals. Our goal is to prepare children for school while nurturing critical thinking, curiosity, and a love for learning that will serve them for years to come.

With over 10 years of classical piano training, I believe music plays a powerful role in early childhood development. It inspires creativity, builds focus, and nurtures emotional expression. That’s why I’ve integrated introductory piano lessons and musical enrichment into our daily rhythm—giving children a joyful, hands-on way to explore sound and self-expression.

I’m proud to run this daycare alongside my mom, Ling, who brings over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for toddlers. She has a natural gift for connecting with young children and creating a warm, structured, and nurturing environment where they feel safe and supported every day.

Together, we’ve created a bilingual daycare (English & Mandarin) focused on early education, music, and meaningful play. Our goal is to provide a loving, enriching space where each child can explore, grow, and shine.

Philosophy

We infuse our daily activities with structured learning experiences that foster critical thinking and school readiness. Our teaching-based program emphasizes hands-on exploration in literacy, math, and problem-solving, ensuring that children develop the skills needed for future academic success.

We also recognize the transformative power of music in a child’s development. With over 10 years of classical piano training, I believe that musical enrichment inspires creativity, builds self-confidence, and enhances cognitive skills. Our daily piano lessons and musical activities are designed to awaken a lifelong love of music, helping children learn, play, and express themselves in joyful ways.

In our bilingual environment—where English and Mandarin are woven into every part of the day—children gain not only language skills but also cultural awareness, broadening their understanding of the world from an early age.

About our program

Welcome to Little Scholars Bilingual Daycare, a nurturing, bilingual family daycare where children grow through play, music, and meaningful learning experiences. Rooted in early childhood development principles, we provide a safe and inspiring environment where each child can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

What makes us unique is our focus on both early education and creative enrichment. We offer bilingual instruction in Mandarin Chinese and English, helping children build strong language foundations and cultural awareness from a young age. Our curriculum also includes introductory piano lessons, nurturing children’s love for music while enhancing cognitive and motor skills.

Our mission is to support the whole child—mind, heart, and creativity—while preparing them for lifelong learning and success.
