Our Teachers

I have been caring for children for over 20 years. I was an infant toddler teacher in my home country, Colombia, for 18 years before emigrating to the U.S. 3.5 years ago. I have a college degree from Colombia in Early Childhood Education. I have experience caring for twins, special needs, including autism.

Philosophy

I am in close communication with the parents to learn together how to care for their children and create their daily routines. I like to created a whatapp group with the family so we share pictures of the children and where we are all day.

Our daily routine is predictable and with lots of learning opportunities. I prepare children’s breakfast, then teach them numbers, colors, animals, etc; then we go to the park, the library, swimming lessons, the playgroung. After that, we have lunch, children go to nap, eat an afternoon snack and play at home trains, read books, imaginative play, then exercise before I leave work.

Location

I am happy to commute to Redwood City, San Carlos, Belmont, Palo Alto and Atherton.

About our program

The most important value I teach children is to respect and love others. I teach by acting and behaving the same. For example, he plays with others with respect, listening and knowing what the rules of behavior are. I listen to him and always encourage him to talk about what he wants and how he feels.
