Our Teachers

Hello! I am Roxana, the founder of Sweet Voices Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 20 years of experience working with young children.

I am originally from El Salvador and am a native Spanish speaker. I am proud of my heritage and excited to share more about the Spanish language and culture with the kids.

I have one daughter of my own.

Philosophy

At Sweet Voices Wonderschool, we believe in the value of social emotional learning. We encourage our students to be compassionate and caring. Early childhood education is much more than ABC’s and 123’s; we help children “step into themselves” as unique individuals as well as share and love each other as a community.

It is our goal to provide an environment that helps each child to feel confident and capable. In our program, children will feel genuinely cared for and cherished with lots of love and attention.

We follow a play-based philosophy. We believe children learn social, cognitive, and emotional skills by exploring new experiences. We prepare our environment to be responsive to the children in our care, and allow children’s own interests to help facilitate their learning and engagement.

We are a bilingual program – daily care and activities will be provided in both Spanish and English. Learning a second language at a young age encourages your child’s intellectual and social development.

Our goal is to provide a home away from home for young people so parents can feel confident their child is getting the best education possible while they are away at work.

Location

Sweet Voices Wonderschool is located in a beautiful, warm condominium in the San Jose neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts), and dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy).

Children will have some outdoor time every day at a local park or playground. Connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.

At Sweet Voices Wonderschool, we want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play.
