As the owner and lead teacher of Star of the Sea Childcare, Mía García is dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and loved.
With over three years of experience in early childhood education and an Early Childhood Education Certificate, Mía combines professional knowledge with genuine care and compassion. She believes that children learn best through meaningful relationships, hands-on experiences, play, and exploration.
Inspired by the Montessori philosophy and guided by developmentally appropriate practices, Mía encourages independence, curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child. She understands that each child develops at their own pace and is committed to providing individualized attention to help them reach their full potential.
As a bilingual educator, Mía creates opportunities for children to learn and grow in both English and Spanish while developing strong social, emotional, and academic foundations. She values open communication with families and works closely with parents to ensure each child’s success and well-being.
Mía’s greatest passion is helping children feel secure, capable, and excited about learning. Through patience, kindness, and dedication, she strives to make Star of the Sea Childcare a place where children can learn, grow, and shine every day.
