Marc A. Ramos and Erica K. Ramos
Directors and Partners
Marc and Erica have lead a very successful program at Bernal Infant and Child Care since early 2017. They worked hand in hand to utilize each others strengths. Marc is a great chef and often makes good food a lesson plan. He has great entrepreneurship skills, sense of humor and a natural leader for kids. Erica enjoys sharing her love of art and animals and her passion for exploration with all of the children in her program.
Both met in college while studying art at the academy of art university. Since then they have both cared for people of all ages with varied degrees of disabilities in their homes. Additionally, they volunteered their time to teach kids with disabilities photography. Marc also worked at YMCA summer programs and helped kids and families in need when he worked at family support services doing respite care.
They have lived in Bernal since 2001, and feel very honored to serve their community by caring for and helping their families the best way they know how, with love and dedication.
The couple have a child, Mitchell that inspired them to start the business.
Bernal Infant and Child Care is licensed with the State of California Community Care Licensing.

Testimonials
“Five stars hands-down and I’d even give BIIC a Michelin star if I could! I feel like I’m dropping my kid off at a beautiful resort every morning, where I know he will get top-notch attention that is geared toward learning, fun, and healthy/fresh eating! (for example, bananas, avocado, egg, sweet potato, etc. all fresh prepared each morning). The playroom, the nursery, and the outdoor playground are all beautiful and carefully maintained. Our son started around 5 months and is a healthy 9 months now. He has been able to thrive at BIIC. He has been encouraged to crawl, walk, play, eat, and even draw! He is learning loads from the older kids and really happy when we drop him off and pick him up. Erica is extremely caring and attentive. It is also very cool to get updates throughout the day on the Brightwheel childcare app. When I’m at work and wondering what my baby is up to, I can follow along with his day and see how much/what he’s eaten, see photos, etc. The ONLY reason I don’t have him there 5 days a week is that I work part-time in order to spend as much time as possible with him in his first year of life. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even hesitate to have him cared-for full time at BICC. The location is very convenient for public transportation at Cortland/Mission. BICC is part of the Wonderschool network so it gets support and training from Wonderschool, and monthly payment is very easy and automated.” A.G
Philosophy
At Bernal Infant and Child Care we embrace young and strong minds by celebrating diversity and encouraging creative play. Social skills come naturally with learning side by side with friends. We play, paint, sing and share. Children form an understanding of themselves and their place in the world through their interactions with others. Good food helps fuel our body and mind.
Location
Bernal Infant and Child Care is set in a very bright and sunny single family home. Nestled on a quiet corner house, on a tree lined street with extra wide sidewalks just two blocks up from mission street on bernal hill. Near tech drop off/pick ups with easy access to 280,101 freeway.
Inside our home, we have a very large dedicated clean and bright play area and a separate comfy sleep room/baby play room. We have a very bright and large eating area and area to do arts and crafts. We have a deck area that’s enclosed and airy so parents can drop off child safely and also see inside our playroom. There are also very nice nearby parks and places to hike and walk to.
About our program
Our goal for our program is to provide a safe and nurturing home away from home for your child.
“I always dreamt of a house full children, and finally after years of trying, we have a son!Even more then ever, I still want to fill my home with that pitter patter of laughing children. I’m living my dream and will cherish your precious child and will treat them like a member of our beloved family.” - Erica Ramos, Owner and Director of Bernal Infant and Child Care
