Our Teachers

Hello! I am Liana Danielyan, the founder of Liana’s Los Feliz Wonderschool. I am formally educated in the field of education specializing in Child Development, Family Studies, and Child Psychology. I have been directing and teaching for 16 years. It has always been important to me to create a holistic environment for children that includes organic home-cooked meals, opportunities to learn and caring teachers. I love to work and communicate with parents so that we can partner to support their children and the community. When I hire teachers to co-teach with me, I ask them to visit several times so I can observe their passion and openness to the children. From there we learn together about child development standards and about how to customize our learning practices for each unique child that enters our program.

“My son has been attending Mesrop Mashtots Danielyan daycare close to a year so far.  I am very appreciate the teachers are really take good care of my son, and my son has been so happy since the first day.I love to mention a few things which i love about Mesrop Mashtots Danielyan day care.

FOOD, they provide delicious homemade food for the babies. The owner cooks by herself everyday , and all the cooking materials are healthy. I love the smell every morning when i drop my son. Smell so so so good!!!

TEACHERS, I love all the teachers work there. They are very caring people, they care the babies and they are fun. They teach kids how to dance and how to sing. My son dances with the song of Baby Sharp one day when he came home, my tears fell out. very appreciate.

Philosophy

At Liana’s Los Feliz Wonderschool, we create a variety of play-based learning experiences. Through art, music, critical thinking, and conversation we help the children discover their world. Families who join our program enjoy the multiple offerings for the children including a large outdoor yard, extensive indoor learning centers, a room just for imagination play, three organic home-cooked meals, excellent teachers, and low ratios! As part of our commitment to diversity, we teach Armenian and Russian through movement-based activities. We conduct seasonal field trips and weekly community trips. Our director, Liana Danielyan, co-creates a truly safe and rewarding space for the children. With all that is offered, there is a chance your child will not want to go home at the end of the day!

Location

Liana’s Los Feliz Wonderschool is located in a 4,000 sq foot family home in the boutique neighborhood of Los Feliz.

Our outdoor yard is as large as a community park but safe and enclosed. We are able to have a play structure, multiple toys, garden and water play options. The children can play all kinds of gross-motor games and activities from hop-scotch to running.

Indoors, there is plenty of space and materials that will engage your children. We have one room dedicated to imaginative play. We also have a large room for circle time, art, manipulative play, and dance for their fine-motor building needs. Our space is designed entirely for children and includes a child-sized bathroom with multiple stalls. The home space and school space are separated as we wanted to make the children feel that this location and school belongs to their learning and play!

About our program

Among the things that make our program unique includes three mostly organic home-cooked meals, children love our homemade healthy food . For dinner options, the children get to choose one of two options so that they can feel empowered to choose and eat healthy meals. We also conduct seasonal field trips to our local gems such as the firehouse, Griffith Park, and science centers. Liana and the teachers at our school are constantly looking for the latest in engaging toys and learning activities to encourage cognitive and emotional intelligence. At the same time, we love child-favorite traditions and embrace family diversity. We encourage our children to feel connected to their needs, their health, our amazing Los Feliz community and to another. In our school every child is unique and different. We gave them individual attention. In this work, the important thing is patience, love, care, and kindness!

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/liana-s-los-feliz-wonderschool-5406/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
