“It’s all about access to a good education. Quality childcare should be made available to everyone.”
Hello! I am Adrianne, the founder of A Home for Us Family Child Care. I have run my own childcare program for over 20 years and have devoted over 30 years of my life to educating, nurturing, and advocating for young people. My interest in early education began after unsuccessfully seeking quality childcare in a home setting that could accommodate my special needs daughter and later my hearing-impaired son.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and my Master’s degree in Marital Family Therapy. I have experience supporting whole families, providing counsel through challenging times.
I am also the proud mother of 4 boys and 4 girls.
I am excited to continue to serve families in a positive, compassionate way at A Home for Us Family Child Care. I hope for an opportunity to meet you and share more about the special school community I’ve worked to cultivate at A Home for Us.

“After going through different daycare services I can say I’m glad to have found, A Home for Us. My son has been under their care for about 3 months now and he loves it. He comes home everyday excited to tell me about the new things he learned and show me his crafts he did. In these three months I have seen my sons behavior evolve for the better. A Home for Us has been a great addition to my family’s life and I would recommend being your kids to this daycare!”

“Placing my child in the care of A Home For Us is the best decision I’ve made for my daughter. She learns something new everyday and her use of language has flourished since she started back in March. They make my daughter as well as my husband and myself feel like family! They’re extremely attentive and keep my daughter engaged in learning activities all day. I wouldn’t change my decision to place her in school for anything!! A Home For Us has been a blessing to my family!!”

“I absolutely love Dr. Moore and this daycare. Both of my children attend the program and have been since my oldest son was a little under 1, he’s almost now. My children are very happy there and I love how they truly care about my children. I would highly recommend them!”
Philosophy
Childhood is a time like no other. It is a time for exploring, creating, learning and most of all, blossoming and being cherished. We believe most of life’s learning – including how to learn – occurs in the first five years of life.
Our program follows a play-based philosophy. We are committed to making children feel safe and comfortable while playing, allowing their minds to immerse in our educational activities. Our daily routine is designed around the love of learning, staying active and guiding and nurturing our little ones as they develop their sense of wonder.
Location
We are located in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles. We are near the 10 and 110 as well as the 405 freeways. We are within blocks of the famous Leimert Park and west of a local community park and library. We are located near bus lines, the metro link and the train.
Our indoor learning area is beautiful and spacious. We have a soft play room and infant viewing room.
Children spend time outdoors every day in our backyard. We grow lemons and oranges there, and there is plenty of space for children to move and play.
About our program
Our program is a magical place for children to share, learn and grow. We incorporate music, movement and community walks into our curriculum.
We have a teacher-to-child ratio of no more than 1:4 to make sure your little ones get individualized care and attention.
