Hello! I’m Shally, the Director of IDEA Wonderschool, Inc. After working as lead teacher at a child development center for 5 years, I founded our child care program alongside my husband, Maung, in 2016. We love this work! I have an AA in child development, as well as an AA in health professions. We love Ms. Shally so much! As a first time mom, I was as super anxious about putting my 4 month old in daycare, but all of my fears and hesitation were gone after day 1. My son is always smiling and playing when we pick him up, and Shally is so good at providing me updates about his eating and sleeping schedule. We love IDEA Daycare!

Philosophy
At IDEA Wonderschool Inc, we believe most fundamentally that children learn best through play, and they are happiest when they are free to explore the world through their own style of play. We especially encourage group play, and believe in the power of collaboration to unlock creativity and empathy. In our loving program, we embrace children’s energy and curiosity!
Location
IDEA Wonderschool Inc. is located in a welcoming, sunny home in West LA, on a shady, tree-lined stretch of Venice Blvd. We are conveniently located at the intersection of Venice, Mar Vista, Culver City and Marina del Rey.
We spend plenty of time outside every day – at least twice a day! – in the safe outdoor yard under our giant, shady tree, where children climb on play structures, explore sensory tables and ride tricycles.
Inside, we have dedicated the entire first floor to child care, with four rooms where children play, rest, and discover new toys and activities.
About our program
We treat our parents as partners. We communicate regularly about your child’s development, and work with you to help you and your child overcome whatever challenges may arise.
We believe in fueling little bodies with the best food, and our meals are home-cooked, fresh, and completely organic.
Music and movement: We love introducing children to all kinds of activities, but we especially love music and movement. My husband, Maung, is the resident dancer and performer, and kids go crazy for his antics!
