Our Teachers

My name is Ana and I am the owner of Stepping Stone Childcare. I am a wife and a proud mother of two college graduates. Cordoba, Argentina is my native country. Aside from having more than a decade of experience, I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development. English and Spanish are the two languages I speak to children in. As a parent myself, I want to provide my childcare service to all working families and make the task of looking for daycare simpler. Thank you for your interest in Stepping Stone. Philosophy

Stepping Stone Child Care and Preschool is a nurturing environment that enriches the lives of children and their families. Through memorable experiences and curricular activities, we enhance each child’s educational development. We focus on creating a sociable and welcoming family that will inspire children to be more creative, ambitious, and outgoing.

We provide children opportunities to create their autonomy while also encouraging self-control and respect for others. We want the children to succeed in school; therefore, we inspire them to grow cognitively, socially, and emotionally.

Stepping Stone Child Care and Preschool has been a California licensed child care accredited by the National Association for Family Child Care since 2002.

Location

Stepping Stone Wonderschool (Santa Monica) is located in a beautiful and spacious single family home in the Santa Monica neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and art area (for expressing emotions and ideas).

Children will have some outdoor time every day in my private backyard. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
