Our Teachers

Hello! I am Anita Cha, the founder of Bright Beginnings Wonderschool. I strongly believe learning and growing are essential for our lives no matter the age. I was blessed to learn and live in different cultures around the world and want to share this with my students. I was born in Korea but grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I studied Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). In my third year of college, I moved to the United States and later graduated as a Fashion Designer at FIDM.

I am a mother to two grown children of my own. I am proud not only of their excellence in academics, but of their integrity, candor, respect, accountability, dignity, honor, responsibility and most of all their contributions and willingness to serve the common good in society. I decided to open my own child care because I wanted to give back to my community what was so generously given to my kids growing up by excellent teachers and mentors.

Philosophy

Our Early Program at Bright Beginnings prepares and inspires children to love learning through exploration, play, teacher-directed, and child-driven experiences, children are introduced to a variety of experiences that cultivate the intellectual, spiritual, and emotional facets of each child. Bright Beginnings Wonderschool is a safe, nurturing, and loving place for infants and toddlers. We are a faith-based, English, Spanish, and Korean trilingual child care that provides an early-shaping experience where playing, learning, and exploring never end. Cultural and ethnic diversity is welcomed and celebrated at our facility. We maintain an energized, attentive, and diverse student-teacher culture, constantly designing experiences for children to fully engage in learning. Our focus is on fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, and confidence through independence and responsibility appropriate for each child’s age and stage of development. We guide children throughout their discovery, celebration, and sharing of their unique perceptions, aiding in their spiritual, moral, and ethical understanding from an early age. Our nurturing environment enhances children’s intellectual and spiritual development equally, fostering compassion that extends to benefiting others. Children at Bright Beginnings are encouraged to connect their learning to real-life experiences, such as cultivating vegetables in the garden and exploring the concept of money through practice and real-world applications.

Location

Bright Beginnings Wonderschool is nestled in a welcoming, warm and roomy house conveniently located in the Mid-City, Los Angeles area. We have a private yard where the children can play outside every day.

About our program

We provide an energized, attentive and diverse student-teacher culture, constantly designing experiences so children can fully engage. We are constantly learning and understanding how each child learns best. In an effort to build a firm foundation for the next steps, the children are given independence and responsibility appropriate to their age and stage. Our curriculum fosters intellectual curiosity, creativity and confidence.

We guide children throughout their discovery, celebration and sharing of their one-of-a kind perceptions. The children start to develop a spiritual, moral base and ethical understanding at early stage so we provide a nurturing environment for the children’s intellectual and spiritual development in equal measurement, enhancing their innate compassion so their learning can benefit others, not just themselves.

We help children connect the playing, learning and exploring in real ways, like by cultivating vegetables in our garden (and then eating them) or finding out what money means and practicing ways to use it.

Christian Foundation

While there is respect and tolerance for families of other faiths, we’ll be clearly leading and teaching from and toward the Christian faith. Our hope is to introduce the children to Jesus Christ and to encourage them to follow Him. We acknowledge and respect the fact that it is every person’s right to make their own decision to accept and follow Christ. It can be challenging for little ones to self-define their faith, but we hope their view of what that means will be expanded upon during their experiences at Bright Beginnings.

At Bright Beginnings, we

  • Teach the Bible as truth, and that humanity needs Jesus Christ
  • Integrate the Bible into all aspects of daily life
  • Form the basis of our philosophy of education on principles of God’s Word
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that are consistent with God’s Word
  • Implement a comprehensive Bible curriculum appropriate to children’s age and stage that leads them to study, memorize, and apply God’s Word to their lives
  • Encourage children to seek God’s plan for their life

Our Statement of Faith:

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death through his shed blood, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in his personal return to power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
