Our Teachers

Hi! My name is Hanan Haroun, and I’m the proud founder of Rainbow Day Academy. Starting this program has been a lifelong dream of mine. I’ve always wanted to create a space where children—especially those from low-income families—feel safe, valued, and supported as they grow and learn.

My heart is in this work. I built Rainbow Day Academy with three main goals in mind: to help children develop healthy habits, to nurture their minds through strong academics, and to guide them toward becoming independent and confident individuals. I bring this vision to life through a nutritious meal program, a hands-on and thoughtful curriculum, and the experience I’ve gained over many years in the classroom.

I have a teaching degree, along with specialized training in early childhood education. For the past 15 years, I’ve been running this program with love and dedication, and it brings me so much joy to see the children flourish every day.

Philosophy

At Rainbow Day Academy, the safety and well-being of our children are our top priorities. To ensure a secure environment, we have installed security cameras throughout our facility.

We also believe in the power of strong, open communication and view parents as essential partners in each child’s development. Our program is committed to working collaboratively with families to support every child’s unique goals.

To keep parents informed and engaged, we provide daily reports that include details about their child’s activities, behavior, meals, and overall day-to-day experiences.

Location

Rainbow Day Academy is located in a welcoming, warm single family home in the Anaheim neighborhood.

Our classroom features an open layout designed to promote independence, exploration, and engagement. This flexible environment allows children to freely move between thoughtfully arranged learning areas, each supporting different aspects of their development and interests.

Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

We want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play.

About our program

Our program is inspired by the Montessori teaching philosophy and we incorporate a variety of academic activities designed to prepare children for future success in school and beyond.

While we follow a structured daily schedule to provide consistency and support, we also allow room for flexibility and creativity—encouraging children to explore, express themselves, and grow at their own pace.
