Testimonials
The Short Version Choosing Claudia as our day care provider was one of the best parenting decisions we’ve made. She is kind, caring, fun, energetic, genuine, and just a lovely person. She is an exceptional teacher, and she is very knowledgeable about all aspects of childcare and child development. Most importantly, she truly loves my kid (and all the others). What more could you ask for?? My little one has thrived at Little Angels Daycare and learned so much from her. I rest easy each day at drop off when I leave my little one in her loving hands. (1 kid with Claudia for 2.5 years.)
The Long Version My son has been with Claudia for 2.5 years since he was 3 months old. Claudia (who we also affectionately call Kiki) has been an integral part of our life, and we are so grateful to have found her. My son has learned and grown so much. Most importantly to us, Claudia genuinely loves my kid and treats him as her own. We love Kiki! Picking Claudia as our daycare provider was one of the best decisions we made and below are some of our thoughts to help you make the same.
Claudia Claudia is amazing. She is kind, energetic, fun, creative, and loving. Everyday, she greets us with a smile and a hug. Her family is equally kind. On occasion Claudia’s awesome daughters will spend time in the day care. My son loves them almost as much as he loves Kiki.
Claudia loves her job and is committed to supporting the holistic development of all the kids who come through her home. She has a substantial background in college-level child development courses and is continually taking continuing education courses to make sure her curriculum and program is the best it can be.
The Space Inside, smiling photographs of the kids greet us at the door. Claudia’s classroom daycare is bright, tidy, and well organized. Although always clean, Claudia has it deep cleaned a few times of year for peace of mind. The outdoor space is really nicely done, and there are a lot of fun stations for kiddos of all ages. (We love seeing pictures of the kids having a picnic outside together!)
The Curriculum Like I said above, Claudia has extensive child development experience. She expertly crafts a program and daily schedule that meets the needs of all ages of children. (I don’t know how she does it, but she does!) Although she designs activities to meet the needs of each age group, she implements them in a way that is inclusive and group oriented. Babies, toddlers, and kids are all grouped together to teach and learn from each other.
Infants For the youngest students, Claudia provides nurturing attention, language exposure in English and Spanish, music, tummy time, gross motor skill exercises, and lots of love. She single handedly taught my son infant sign language which we used to communicate for months before my son learned to talk.
Toddlers For the toddlers, Claudia sets a theme for each month. Some of the themes have been Winter, Olympics, Space, and Circus to give you an idea of the breadth of the topics. Claudia uses the theme to introduce letters, numbers, and science. She also shares thematically appropriate books, songs, and art projects to help the kids explore the new theme. Sometimes I have thought that her themes were too advanced for the toddlers, but every time I have been proved wrong when my toddler comes home telling me about frog life cycles, or reciting the alphabet, or sharing all of the other things he has learned that day. While I underestimate my kid, Claudia has helped him and exceed key cognitive development milestones. At 2.5 years old, my son knows the alphabet, some phonics, numbers 0-20, his colors, and basic shapes.
However, Claudia’s curriculum isn’t just academic. She teaches the kids about emotions, social behavior/manners, and self-care (brushing teeth, getting dressed, etc.). Her curriculum is very well rounded. Best of all, Claudia gives us lots of tips, tools, and resources about what to work on at home to complement what he was learning at day care.
Spanish Claudia immerses Spanish language into her program seamlessly. The kids get lots of natural language exposure, and Claudia utilizes music and books as other ways to weave Spanish language into the day.
Parenting Choices We were first time parents who were anxious about everything. We were very serious about schedules and parenting styles/choices in the way only first-time parents are. Claudia was patient with us and always respected and tried to honor our parenting decisions (like when we were sleep training). When we did have a rare disagreement or miscommunication, Claudia was respectful and willing to talk through the issue to find a solution. It was clear through our conversations that we both just wanted what was best for my son. We really appreciated her patience and support as we got used to being parents and taking care of a small child.
Pick Kiki! We hope by now you have read enough to convince you that Claudia is the day care provider for you. We have had the best experience with her and are deeply saddened to be moving away from the area. We feel so lucky and blessed to have had her be such a critical and integral part of our life for the last 2.5 years. We can’t recommend her highly enough.
