Our Teachers

I am the owner and lead childcare provider of this home daycare and bring over 25 years of experience in early childhood care. Over the past two decades, I have created a warm, structured, and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported. My program places a strong emphasis on early literacy and numeracy, and children who leave my care consistently transition into school with strong academic skills, including early reading and basic math, as well as lasting social relationships. I am supported by my daughter, who brings diversified experience working with children across caregiving, educational, and healthcare settings. Her background allows her to support children’s developmental and emotional needs with attentiveness and care. She is currently pursuing a career in children’s clinical counseling, which strengthens our program’s focus on emotional well-being, communication, and healthy social development. Together, we combine long-standing experience with a thoughtful, child-centered approach to help children feel confident, prepared, and supported as they grow and learn.

Philosophy

We believe that children thrive best in a safe, loving, and structured environment where they feel secure, respected, and encouraged to learn. Our philosophy is rooted in the understanding that early childhood is a critical time for building confidence, curiosity, and foundational academic and social skills. We value consistency, patience, and positive guidance, and we recognize that each child develops at their own pace. Through age-appropriate activities, daily routines, and intentional interaction, we support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth while fostering independence and a love for learning. Early literacy and numeracy are an important part of our program, and we intentionally prepare children with the skills they need to succeed as they transition into school. Equally important, we focus on building strong relationships with children and families, maintaining open communication and mutual trust. Our goal is to nurture happy, confident children who feel secure in themselves, connected to others, and prepared for their next stage of learning.

Location

Our program is located in a quiet, family-oriented residential neighborhood that is well suited for young children. The area is calm and safe, with limited traffic, which provides a peaceful environment for daily care and learning. We are fortunate to have a neighborhood playground nearby, giving children the opportunity for outdoor play, physical activity, and social interaction. In addition, our home includes a fully supervised backyard with soft turf, allowing children to enjoy fresh air and “sunnies” in a safe, enclosed space designed for play and movement. Our location is convenient for families, with nearby schools and easy access from surrounding neighborhoods. Parents appreciate the balance of a home-based setting with outdoor spaces that support active play, exploration, and routine. All outdoor activities are closely supervised to ensure children’s safety at all times. Overall, our neighborhood offers a calm, accessible, and child-friendly setting that supports both learning and play.
