Sumaiya is very attentive, kind-hearted, patient, compassionate, reliable, excellent childcare provider and teacher. I am very grateful with her for being my baby's caregiver.

Testimonials

“This provider is a blessing. We started our little one at four months- as a first time mom it wasn’t easy, but I was at such ease seeing how much this provider cared for our daughter as her own and especially seeing how much our little one enjoyed being there. Thank you for everything!” - Joy S.

“We have been so completely happy with the childcare facility. The owner is incredible. You can tell she loves her career and is passionate about what she is doing. Our daughter asks on the weekends if she is going to daycare because she loves it so much. We plan to keep her here until she begins kindergarten in 2 years.” - Jennifer K

“I can’t say enough about how amazing this provider is with her facility. She’s been so supportive and helpful with our son & his development since he was an infant. He loves going to her daily. she is very professional and a great communicator with a genuine care for her kids. She’s committed to providing her kids structure with compassion. She’s been more than I ever expected & we will truly miss her as our son transitions to a classroom… more” - Eden K. Faiqa S. Verified Parent Posted 6 months ago Overall Facilities Curriculum Teachers Safety This caregiver is very understanding, caring , passionate and enthusiastic lady . she actually cares for the betterment of your kid. y S. Verified Parent Posted 6 months ago Overall Facilities Curriculum Teachers Safety This provider has been great for our 21 month old son Zayn. He has been attending her home care since he was around 10 months, and we feel he has learned a lot interacting with younger and older kids. She maintains ample space for the children to run, play, and comfortably sleep, and keeps the facilities very clean. The curriculum is tailored to each individual child, and we marvel at how Zayn seems to have learned something new seemingly every day. The teachers are caring, friendly, and committed, and safety in outdoor and indoor play is paramount.

All in all, this daycare is a productive environment, affordable, and has been very convenient and flexible for us. We would fully recommend her daycare.

Philosophy

We have 13+ years of experience in creating a lovely and unique “home away from home” environment that’s both fun, and educational for your child. We believe in offering individual attention. Alongside our play-based learning, we offer curriculum in SREAMin3, PDG B5 Programs and Virginia qualities.

Every child at Spring Garden Daycare is important and we welcome you to join our family. So please, pick up the phone and come visit us. We really look forward to meeting you and your child very soon! At our school, we strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. Our team of experienced and innovative teachers do this by creating a space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it.

Location

Quiet neighborhood. Close to Garfield Elementary and Springfield Plaza. Private playground for children to play.

About our program

We welcome diversity at our program. We learn and celebrate all holidays and traditions. We do a lot of crafting - especially around the different holidays and celebrations around the world. At our school, we teach the concepts of math, science, engineering, art, social sciences and early literacy through our play-based, child-led curriculum. We use the interests and ideas of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open-ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions whenever possible.
