Nicole Lee, Director/Educator

Nicole, has been a strong advocate for Early Childhood Education since receiving her certification in 2006. Driven by her lifelong dream to create her own childcare program, she launched her vision shortly after starting her family. Nicole believes that children are active participants in their learning and refers to them as “little teachers,” recognizing their ability to enrich educational experiences themselves for everyone around them. Her philosophy centers on providing a nurturing and inclusive environment that respects diversity and allows children to express their individuality and be heard. By promoting exploration and self-directed learning, Nicole ensures that every child feels valued and empowered, giving them a environment to thrive in.

Philosophy

At Beginning Steps Childcare, we understand that a balance of nature and nurturing environment is fundamental to a child’s development. Our approach is built on the belief that children thrive when they feel secure, valued, loved and respected. We are dedicated to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where every child can feel at home. Developmental play-based emergent curriculum where children’s ideas, inquiries, discoveries, and investigations are nurtured and implemented. With hands-on daily experiences children acquire a deep intuitive understanding of nature and the natural world.

Conveniently located in NW Redmond off of Maple St. In a safe, kid friendly neighborhood. Located near open fields, safe sidewalks for walks, bike trials and parks with play structures.

About our program

At Beginning Steps Early Learning in Redmond, we foster growth through child lead play, engaging activities that enhance both thinking and physical capabilities. Children thrive in a supportive setting that promotes self-reliance. Our hands-on approach ensures a unique educational experience that emphasizes practical learning.

Admission is an easy 3-step process:

1. Send a message to [email protected] or through Wonderschool.
2. Visit the school and meet the teacher.
3. Sign the enrollment & tuition contracts and pay deposit.
