My name is Charlotte Wang Fratto. I have lived in Central Oregon since 2010. I moved here after completing a Bachelor’s Degree that same year at Western Washington University.
I am the oldest of 4 children. As both a caregiver and educator, I also consider myself a lifelong learner. The environments children are growing up in are ever changing and new research emerges all the time. I am continually seeking educational opportunities to strengthen my skill set. Currently, I am working on a certificate in Developmentally Appropriate Learning Environments (DALE).
In college I explored my love of children and caretaking by working as a nanny for a family with two active young kids and also as a respite care provider for a family with twins on the autism spectrum. After that, I became a foster parent. The foster children I cared for were under 2 years of age.
I began providing in home child care professionally in 2016. I’ve cared for more than 15 babies under 1 yr of age in my home as a family child care provider.
Today I am the owner and operator of a small, licensed home daycare called Jumping Monkeys Child Care & Early Learning Program LLC. As a parent myself, I know how essential it is to have a safe and affordable place to leave your child while working or attending appointments. All children deserve an environment that is stimulating and promotes learning.
I am proud of the work that I do. I consider myself an advocate for all children. It is my personal goal to bring joy to my classroom. I look forward to working with you and your children.
Warm regards, Charlotte Wang Fratto

Philosophy
This is a play-based program with a splash of outdoor school. The Jumping Monkeys program has tons of outdoor space and regularly takes advantage of beautiful weather and fresh air.
Here at Jumping Monkeys we look to some of the pillars of early education, like Magda Gerber and Reggio Emilia, for inspiration. These first few years of life are some of the most formidable and I personally believe there are few things as important during this time as strong attachments with compassionate caregivers. (This includes secondary attachments with caregivers outside of your immediate family, which is where Jumping Monkeys fits in.)
Magda Gerber’s philosophy of Educaring has resonated with me as an educator and caregiver. Here at Jumping Monkeys we know even the youngest infant is a person and should be treated with respect and compassion.
Reggio Emilia’s philosophy echoes some similar sentiments, that learning should be child-driven. I believe in fostering autonomy and empowerment in children and babies of all ages. My wish for all humans in my care, regardless of age, is to feel valued and supported.
This small, in-home child care provides the best of both worlds - the structure and socialization of daycare with the one-on-one attention you likely won’t get from a larger daycare center. My home-based program is small enough to be able to provide personalized care. Children often learn best when their natural curiosities are respected, explored, and guided.
There is value for our little ones in both structured activities and free play. I strive to blend an educational environment with one where your child can also just relax and be themselves. I believe a peaceful environment that puts your child at ease will best support the rapid growth and change happening with your little one those first few years of life.
Our days together almost always include reading, free play outside, and going for a walk. I have a stroller wagon for multiple kiddos and I’m also a big advocate of baby wearing. In my experience, babywearing really helps put baby at ease and helps them to be a part of what everyone else is up to. Here at Jumping Monkeys we are always working on fine motor development, cognitive development and social & emotional development.
