Lisa has had a deep love of nurturing children from a very young age. In college, she was a nanny to several families, and then when she had her own children, a few years later, she opened a daycare in her home. Over the years after her children were grown and out of the house she went back to nannying for, many different families cultivating a deep connection with all of them. Starting an in-home daycare just makes sense with all of her experience, love and curiosity. The Reggio, Amelia style nurtures her love of nature and child driven activities and learning.
Philosophy
Heart and soul preschool focuses on a child driven environment inspired by Reggio Emilia, Montessori, our natural world and community. Your child will be an active participant in their learning. We will nurture the natural curiosity and easy willingness that every child has to learn, create and explore. We will learn and play as a group and many of our lessons will be driven by the interests of the children.
Location
Heart and soul preschool is located on the north east side of town in beautiful Bend, Oregon. This is an in-home preschool with a large dedicated room, kitchenette and bathroom as the preschool space. We have a beautiful natural backyard space for the children and we’re just around the corner from several beautiful parks and playgrounds.
