After 15 years of working in the Information and Technology field, I am now following my dream of dedicating my life to early childhood education. It is my passion to promote and nurture the development of young children. I believe that can be achieved through a commitment to educational learning, developing healthy social skills, and reinforcing positive character building.
When I entered the workforce, I chose a field that made the most sense at the time. Fortunately, I ended up in a successful career that provided for my basic necessities and beyond. However, I ignored my calling. I feel now is my time to do what I always wanted to do.
As a parent, I had a challenging time finding exceptional childcare. I placed high standards on the welfare of my children and expected no less than the best for them. I want to be the caregiver a parent can trust with their most cherished gift.
My philosophy is any child in any circumstance can blossom in a warm and nurturing environment. Caregivers must:
- Have patience
- Place a strong emphasis on building self-esteem, confidence and integrity
- Use problem solving to develop critical thinkers
- Encourage parental involvement and embrace partnerships with a parent when needed
- Fulfill the needs of both parent and child
My goal is to make Budding Blossoms a place both children and parents love. As a member of The National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) I am connected to seasoned professionals who are actively engaged in pursuing the cutting edge of early childhood best practices. Together, we are working to find new and innovative ways to enhance the growth of a child’s most critical and nurturing years. Laying a strong foundation is the key.

“Our son started with Budding Blossoms when he was fifteen months old. We toured a few daycare programs, and I immediately took a liking to Budding Blossoms. Everything from how the schedules worked to how the meals are prepared was explained to me in detail. I was a bit nervous about leaving my son the first few times, and was reassured by the caretakers that he would be well taken care of. They even sent me pictures of him throughout the day, so that I would be kept up to date. The staff is incredibly nurturing and personable, and there’s a great sense of family and community. I love Budding Blossoms and am so grateful to everyone on their team for being a part of our lives!” - Parents of Ralph
“We have enrolled our two children at Budding Blossoms and have seen the program grow over the years. It has an excellent educational program supported by the enthusiastic staff and with integrated external activities. Children deserve to be exposed to these merits, and conversely, these merits deserve more children!” - Parents of Ty and Lynn
“Budding Blossoms is a place that far exceeds meeting children’s basic needs, i.e. free-playing, feeding, diapering/toileting, napping, etc. They offer weekly science classes, music together sessions, yoga classes provided by local businesses, library trips, and other seasonal programs such as gymnastics, Spanish, Mandarin, French, and soccer. There are so many programs integrated in the children’s daily routines that I cannot provide as a working parent. The toys and books are also carefully selected for the children’s educational needs and children participate in the cooking of daily meals.” - Parents of Evan, Simon and Micah

We are conveniently located in Central Harlem and steps away from the 2/3 Subway lines and the M1, BX33, M102, M7 bus lines.
