Our Teachers

Hello! I am Diana Mason, the founder of Bright Little Stars Wonderschool . I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 8 years of experience working with young children. I have a Bachelor’s and an Associates Degree which allow me to tie in my background in arts in working with children.

My mother Mercedes also works full time in the program. She has over 20 years experience working with children. She holds a Special Education certificate in New York City public schools.

Philosophy

Parents! We currently only have space for toddlers!

Please do not book a tour unless you are looking for care within the next month or so. We will update our enrollment availability for infants as soon as we have openings. Thank you!

Welcome to Bright Little Stars Wonderschool! I am so looking forward to getting to know you and your family as you begin your search for childcare. We know that finding the right program for your child is a personal and meaningful journey, and I am delighted to be a part of it.

At Bright Little Stars, we believe that children learn best through hands on experiences. That is why we feel provide opportunities for play-based learning every day. Whether it be during our center time, or during our monthly art project activity, children are consistently “getting their hands dirty” while learning through hands on experiences. Recent activities include our “spoon butterfly” project and our hand family trees. We believe that learning valuable fine and gross motor skills such as cutting, rolling, tracing, and coloring, can all come through art.

Location

We are conveniently located right between the B/C and 2/3 trains! Our daycare is in a bright and warm apartment filled with children’s art work, games, and lots of other fun materials to learn and explore! We also have a park on either side of us within walking distance where we can go play and have fun outside.

About our program

Hola! We are a bilingual Spanish program. Children who attend bilingual preschool have a better ability to monitor their immediate environment compared to monolinguals. They exhibit more mental flexibility and a stronger ability to switch between tasks (also known as ‘working memory’)
