Our Teachers
Hello there! My name is Angela Guzman and I am the proud founder of Julizbeth Group Daycare & Wonderschool. The program is named after my two daughters, and I am excited to welcome you into my home and family as well. My mother and aunts were teachers in my home of Santo Domingo; teaching is in my blood, and is my passion!
I previously worked for 16 years at a licensed childcare center before starting a program of my own 4 years ago. I was excited to create a space that followed my own routine and let me support the children creatively. I have my Child Development Associate certificate and am bilingual in English and Spanish.

Philosophy
Here at Julizbeth Group Daycare & Wonderschool, we believe that children are able to build a foundation for independence even at an early age. We encourage each child to grow into themselves through close attention and a commitment to the unique needs of each child. Our space was created to intentionally give children the ability to make choices about what they will engage in and our guided activities are developmentally appropriate based on interest and age level.
I believe that our program allows children para que puede ir adelante con exito - so that they can go onward successfully.
Location
Julizbeth Group Daycare & Wonderschool is located in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn on the 2nd floor of a safe residence. We are close to the J and Z lines at the Halsey Street station and less than a mile from the Wilson Avenue L stop. If you take the bus, we are off of the B52 and Q24 lines!
About our program
The first thing you’ll notice when you visit my program is the “Look at My Work Wall” where we celebrate the many art projects that the children do in our program. We do a guided activity daily that gives the children a chance to develop their creativity and explore different materials.
Our circle time offers children a chance to develop their communication skills. We sing songs, ask questions, and discuss a themed topic in both English and Spanish, so that when your child leaves Julizbeth they will be able to confidently navigate both languages.
Parents can expect consistent communication from us during drop-off and at pick-up. We are happy to let you know what we did during the day, and we hope you’ll ask your little one to show you what we talked about at the carpet or what we hung on the work wall.
We are lucky to have a play space located on the premises which makes outdoor play easy. We go outside daily as long as the weather allows for it so that the children can run, jump, and move.
