Our Teachers

Happy Hearts Family Daycare is owned and operated by Aasha McCoy. Aasha has been in child care for the past 15 + years in a variety of roles. She has worked in child care centers, schools, and in family child care.

Philosophy

We believe that children are precious and must receive care from adults who are capable and caring and whose values enable them to be excellent role models.

We believe that children should experience numerous positive learning milestones leading to an increased sense of competence and independence.

We believe that children’s play is extremely vital to children’s healthy physical development, acceptable social skills, and cognitive growth.

I believe in creating an appropriate educational environment which carefully guides children from one developmental level to another.

Parent’s contributing to their child’s progress enhances the quality of care offered here at Happy Hearts Family Daycare.

We believe that diversity also includes the different physical, cognitive, and social abilities that one possesses. We strive to create a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that not only reflects each child’s unique abilities but also encompasses their home culture and experiences.

About our program

Our program is relationship based with children and families. We want to be a part of your child’s life from infancy through school age and beyond. We do a lot of thematic learning in our program and children engage in literacy, math, and art throughout the day.
