Testimonials
Like most parents, I looked for someone who was coming with recommendations to watch my kids. Damaris had a waiting list, but I was not willing to wait, and for some reason she was okay with it. Typically I went to daycares, and interviewed them, to see if I deemed the establishment suitable for children. When I met Damaris, it felt like she interviewed me. In all honesty, that’s what first impressed me. She cared who she brought around the kids she already had attending her daycare. From then on, for close to a decade, my kids went to her home. For some reason I came back more behaved some days due to staying with Damaris. Not only did she involve my kids with her family activities, but included the parents as well. She emotionally invested in my kids and I will be forever grateful for it. I could write chapter on different stories, but until you experience the genuine care of this wonderful lady you just won’t get it. - Jesse Guzman
I loved minor academy day care! She worked well with my schedule. She was very organized and clean. My children loved going. Damaris is a very loving person and I would definitely recommend anyone to take their child to her. -Amber Guzman
My name is Rita Rodriguez, and I took my great granddaughters to Miners Academy for over two years. At that time the younger one was 8 months and the older one was only 1 year and 8 months. I was very lucky that Damaris had 2 openings when I was looking for a daycare for my precious babies.
I was very happy that they were happy when I dropped them off at Miners daycare. They had fun and learned a lot. And when I found out that my older great granddaughter was autistic I was worried that I would have to find another daycare for her. When I told Damaris that Layla was diagnosed with autism. Damaris informed me that she had experience taking care of autistic children. I was so relieved that I didn’t need to look for another daycare for my precious baby. And when I had problems understanding her behavior and why she would cry or started throwing her toys I would call or text Damaris and she would explain to me that I wasn’t doing anything wrong.
Damaris and her whole family are very nice and caring people. They are all really special loving people. I was sad when I learned that they were moving. But I was also happy for them because they deserve the very best in life for being such wonderful people!
I Lena A. Felix is giving a review. Miner Academy of the best place you can take your child to. I’m a person who was skeptical about taking my child Luciano to anyone other than family. Back in 2015, myself going back to work for the first time since being a stay at home mom, i was overwhelmed with the fact family couldn’t help at the time due to Work or school. Running into Damaris while she was passing out cards. I felt her warmness, good vibe and she was outgoing. With simple small talk that day i ended up calling her and we set up an appointment got tour and application forms. I was most pleased with her hospitality. Damaris is a very well put together Mother and Care Provider. Well organized, she sticks to her structure, routine. She mainly was always in a cheerful mood, happy and high spirited woman. Last but not least Damaris was very good with the kids. Many times I’d enter home and it always was delightful smell of candles burning w calming scents and the kids where always well behaved,😂 Always having a good time, Laughing and well mannered. Damaris in my book is very well exceptional care provider. I loved her her style in how how she increased with the kids. Loving and caring with sternness as well as disciplined demeanor. If something that she was concerned about she always brought to you attention and very punctual on giving us updates on events , days off, vacation notices. Damaris was always on top of everything. When coming to contracts and any other forms , getting signatures, timely fashion. Learning to see her go i was quite sad, we became family. Yet knowing she was going to put her skills into other children who need her made it easier To see her go. She is missed and loved. Thank you for your time in reading this. May you have a wonderful day.
Kindest Regards with love and light,

I can’t say enough positive things about Damaris and Miner’s Academy Childcare. She loves these kids as her own and treats you like family. She was a great advocate for our kiddo and was so communicative about any needs or concerns she had. We were sad to see her go when they moved out of state.
