Our Teachers

Our lead teachers all have degrees in education. Our EA’s are either in school, or have a minimum of the 45 hour introductory early childhood certificate and the FOCUS required 16 hours of training. We are all CPR/First Aid certified.

Philosophy

Welcome to Congregation Albert’s Early Childhood Center, established in 1982. Our 5 Star FOCUS preschool/kindergarten strives to make your child’s first school experience a happy and secure one. Offering a positive foundation for all future learning, we help in creating that joyful, lifelong learner, where our students learn that education is both fun and important. We believe in sustaining a culture of inquiry, with licensed early childhood educators who partner with families and children, and where together we listen, wonder and reflect. We are committed to providing an emergent and inspiring learning environment for a diverse population of young children, with classes for two through five year olds and an accredited kindergarten, where we gently integrate Jewish culture, values and holidays. We are play based and child centered in our approach, supporting the uniqueness of our students and families. Joyfully, we welcome all families and all faiths. Call and inquire about full or part time choices. Limited scholarships may be available. Come learn, play and grow with us!

Location

Cross streets are Louisiana and Montgomery. We are located inside the Congregation Albert building.

About our program

In addition to an enriched core curriculum, we offer 2 enrichment classes. Yoga for Kids: Your child will learn breath work, practice lots of animal poses, learn patience, improve balance, improve motor skills, practice meditation, and stretch and strengthen their muscles. Kids love to dance: Your child will have fun with rhythm, musical instruments, and dance. Tumbling is also a component of this program, which culminates in an end-of-year recital that we consider to be “…the event of the season.”
