Our Teachers
Our teachers are a husband and wife team, Angela and Mitch Cross. Angela is the owner/director and does most of the planning for the program. Together, Mitch and Angela implement activities so there are generally 2 adults on hand for help with activities and supervision. Angela has her AAS in General Education with more than 40 Credit Hours of Early Childhood classes as well as averaging more than 20 in service training hours annually. Mitch was active duty army and later retired from the Dept of Corrections. He has had over 25 years of observing and assisting with the childcare environment and the children respond well to having a male presence to build things with, enjoy meals with, read books, or sing action songs. Since his retirement 2 years ago, Mitch has become fully certified in all areas and can function as the sole care giver, if needed. Angela and Mitch have raised 3 boys of their own and currently have 2 grandsons. They make a great team and believe that children learn best in an environment in which they (the children) feel loved and secure as well as one in which they can be themselves and have fun.

Philosophy
Angela’s Early Learning Christian Academy believes children develop their full potential when provided secure and loving experiences in the early years. To achieve this, we offer a quality learning environment in a family setting. We enroll mixed ages to foster a family feel. We use a combination of child and teacher directed activities that are tailored to meet each individual child where they are. Our end goal is to support families in ensuring their child enters school ready to learn.
About our program
Angela’s Early Learning Christian Academy is a family based early care and education program. We offer continuity of care for children ages birth to school, nutritional meals and snacks, and a combination of child led and teacher directed activities that are designed to help each child reach their fullest potential while retaining that feeling of home.
