Philosophy

These are the policies and procedures under which we operate as a licensed child care facility. All staff has undergone screening by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Records and Identification Divisions as well as child abuse and neglect screening done by the Missouri Division of Family Services and are registered with the Missouri Family Care Registry. A copy of the state licensing rules is available for parents to review at any time.

Royal Hearts Academy LLC provides a loving, nurturing environment that fosters independence and curiosity; stimulates and challenges physical and intellectual development and encourages creative expression within a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Each child will be exposed to seeing himself/herself as unique and able; communicating his/her thoughts and feelings; developing positive attitudes toward learning; learning positive interaction between them and their peers.; enjoying his/her imagination and creativity; experience success from trying; and influencing his/her environment by trying.

We will encourage learning and social skills in a proper manner, allowing room for their individualism. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in which they will have the opportunity to gain practice in language, fine motor, large motor and self-help skills, we believe that a consistent routine is important to ensure happiness and progress of the child. Your questions and comments are always welcome so that we can achieve the very best experiences for your child.

Royal Hearts Academy LLC agrees on a plan to continue communication with parents regarding the child’s development, behavior, and individual needs. We believe that self-esteem is the critical component to optimal growth in your children. In order for a child to develop high self-esteem, we focus on developing the socialization and self-help skills needed to succeed in other areas of development. Just how well children learn to get along with others depends, to a large extent, on how they feel about themselves. If the adults who care for them have helped them to feel they are valued and competent, children are likely to be relaxed and friendly with others. Play is the way children learn about their world, themselves, and others, and the way they develop the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in their lives. All children learn and grow in their own special way.

Location

We are located in the Carondelet neighborhood in South City in a 2 story building on the corner of Loughborough and 6829 Virginia with easy access to public transit, St. Louis public Library and Carondelet Park just a short walking distance away. We’re in a nice safe neighborhood with plenty of things to explore.

About our program

It is Royal Hearts Academy LLC mission to provide a model program that is benefiting to the changing needs of the children, parents, staff and community.

To create a setting in which children find warmth, comfort and gentleness as well as an abundance of opportunities for movement, exploration and self- discovery according to the individual needs, interests and abilities.

To assist each child to grow to his/her fullest potential by recognizing each stage of development and fashioning an environment (ex. curriculum, facilities, staff) designed to nurture and facilitate growth during each stage.

To help children achieve independence, self-discipline, social competence, self-knowledge enthusiasm for learning, positive attitudes, intellectual growth, and an organized approach to problem solving.

For the children, we strive to maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing environment where the developmental needs of the children are addressed.

For the parents, we strive to keep an open line of communication and serve as a resource for support and education. We want to assist the parents in understanding the developmental stage of their child, enabling them to contribute most effectively to the child’s growth and enrichment.

For the staff, we strive to provide an atmosphere that will attract and retain well-trained personnel, by maintaining good working conditions. We encourage a sense of cooperation and open communication among staff. Our program maintains high educational and training requirements for all staff members.

For the community, we strive to provide quality childcare services, resources and activities for parents working outside of the home. We will cooperate with various departments (i.e. Department of Health, Food Program) as well as the local rules and regulations set forth by Planning and Zoning.
