Meet Letrice Simmons — New Owner & Director of Trese Pieces Learning Center
Trese Pieces Learning Center is proudly under the new ownership and leadership of Letrice Simmons. Letrice has no connection to the previous owners or staff and has rebuilt this program with a completely new, qualified, and loving team. Her mission is to establish a center families can trust—one grounded in safety, professionalism, and genuine care.
With more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education and nursing, I have dedicated my life to caring for, teaching, and supporting children and families. My background blends the compassion and attentiveness of a nurse with the creativity, structure, and patience of a lifelong educator.
Before opening Trese Pieces Learning Center, I worked at Davita Dialysis and served as the Director of St. Genevieve Early Learning Center, where I oversaw programs serving more than 110 children. Throughout my career, my focus has remained the same: to create a safe, structured, and loving environment where every child can grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy.
At Trese Pieces Learning Center, my mission is to provide more than childcare. I am building a true learning community—one where every child is valued, encouraged to explore, and supported in their individual growth. My leadership style is hands-on and family-centered. Parents appreciate my open communication, my strong presence in the classroom, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere I cultivate within the center.
Our teaching team reflects the same commitment. We bring together retired teachers, nurses, experienced childcare professionals, and devoted parents—each bringing unique skills, decades of experience, and a deep love for children. Together, we create a nurturing, dependable, and inclusive environment.
I am especially passionate about supporting children with diverse abilities and healthcare needs, ensuring that every child feels seen, included, and cared for.
“I’m not just running a daycare—I’m shaping a learning center where children grow, families feel supported, and the community comes together.”
Philosophy
At Trese Pieces Learning Center, our philosophy is rooted in safety, nurturing care, and meaningful learning experiences. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy, and we are committed to creating an environment where each child feels supported, respected, and celebrated.
We focus on building self-confidence through hands-on exploration, purposeful play, and age-appropriate learning opportunities. Our curriculum is designed to meet children exactly where they are developmentally—whether they are mastering early milestones like potty training or engaging in more advanced learning experiences.
A strong foundation in early academics is central to our approach. We emphasize essential skills in reading, mathematics, and science, helping children gain the curiosity and readiness they need for long-term educational success. Our goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning by making each day enriching, engaging, and meaningful.
Most importantly, we believe in the power of community. Our program fosters an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. We are committed to honoring each child’s unique abilities, interests, and strengths as they learn and grow.

We are located in the historic Old Webster district, right next to Webster Groves City Hall. Our family-friendly, walkable neighborhood offers shops, restaurants, and easy access to public transportation. Just minutes from Webster University and only 8 minutes from the Galleria Mall, our center combines charm and convenience.
