Testimonials

“Our son’s first daycare experience was with Ms. Khalil just weeks before the world shutdown. Her care and love in a small environment allowed our essential worker household to keep working while he was thriving. The city adventures he went on to parks, on scavenger hunts, on bike rides gave him big kid confidence in a tiny body! Definitely recommend Leap!” -Sam

Philosophy

At L.E.A.P. Academy, the philosophy is centered around play-based learning with a Montessori and nature school background. Our additional philosophy emphasizes a child-led approach, where curiosity guides the day and teachers serve as facilitators, supporting each child’s natural interests and developmental journey. We believe in creating a fun and engaging environment that nurtures imagination, builds confidence, and encourages problem-solving skills through hands-on experiences and meaningful connections. Every child is encouraged to discover, create, and thrive at L.E.A.P. Academy - one playful step at a time.

Location

L.E.A.P. Academy is located in the Shaw neighborhood in a muiti-family unit. We are walking distance from metro transit bus #8, several neighborhood parks, and the famous Tower Grove Park. There are several pocket gardens in the neighborhood, including Missouri Botanical Gardens just down the street. We are 10 minutes from Barnes Jewish hospital.

TRANSPORTATION: blocks away from Kingshighway and Grand, highway 44

SAFETY: Shaw neighborhood is considered to be a safe area with low crime rates. The neighborhood has an active community association that works to promote safety and community engagement in the area. Shaw neighborhood is a walking-friendly neighborhood that makes it easy for parents and children to walk or ride bikes to the academy.
