I’m a mother and a wife of three children of my own, and one child by marriage. I got pregnant at a young age. I married my elementary school boyfriend. I have been into education and learning for children for some years now. I started out working in a young teenager shelter, helping young teenage moms. That’s how I came into running my own licensed child care home. I named my child care TREEHOUSE because of my back pass history. It starts from the roots and grows into a big, strong loving beautiful tree as it grows branches and leaves and suddenly they starts to falling off. So that reminds me of my children that’s in my Child care. First they come into my home, their families put all their trust in me, that’s the roots, then they learn and grow in my Program, that’s how the branches of the tree grow. As the children meet their journey in my child care they have fun, learn and grow. Then they will go out into the world on to their next journey to Life. That’s the leaves and that’s how I got the name Treehouse Childcare. I graduated from Ottawa high school 1997. I started working at a home health care Center taking care of elders. Then I got my certificate of Completion from GRCC workforce training, through Great Start to Quality training. Then I went to Grand Valley State University center for adults and continued my studies. I also went to Michigan State University teaching children mindful eating, children’s development, health, and safety for children. I’m also certified through child and adult care food program training, and licensed through the state of Michigan department of licensing and Regulatory. Certified CPR,AED and First Aid training, bloodborne Pathogen, Michigan department of licensing, and Regulatory Affairs.
