Our Teachers

Desirae Weiss (Cirilo), Director/Owner

Desirae graduates from Delta College with an Associates degree in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. In her spare time she takes Continuing Education courses, for Early Childhood Development, and is always looking for ways to provide more for the program. 2009-2014 she provided in-home childcare, and decided to take the venture into the food and medical fields for some time. Now her path has changed again and she is proud to be able to bring 24-hour access to quality childcare to her Community! She believes that multi-level age groups and play-and-learn curriculums are to the best benefit of the children.

Philosophy

At Sunny Stars we will provide a place of comfort and excitement for the children in the program. All children will be treated with love, care, respect, dignity, and most of all equally. We believe learning through play-based and hands-on activities benefit children the most. Children can explore their interests through their imaginations and in nature, with other children and on their own. We will operate on a 24-hour basis to benefit parents of ALL working hours, including overnight care.

About our program

Sunny Stars is a play-and-learn based program, with a focus on building mindfulness, and social-emotional skills. STEM activities will be utilized as much as possible, and children will explore outdoors as weather permits.

We will host special events during the warmer seasons for the community, and every month a birthday Celebration will take place for the birthday kid’s of the month.

Parent gatherings like; Muffin’s with Mom for Mother’s Day and Donut’s with Dad for Father’s Day. Other events, celebrations, and gatherings as we are able.
