Our Teachers

We have a great group of loving and caring individuals who are all very unique! Our team understands that children are individuals and they truly love to be around children and engage with families in a meaningful way. Compared to corporate centers, our teacher turnover is much, much lower because, as a private center, we can offer more flexibility in scheduling and have a more relaxed work environment where teachers can focus on teaching and being present in the classroom!

Philosophy

Our purpose for existing is:

  1. To hold space for imagination and creativity
  2. To preserve childhood; let children BE children
  3. To help foster love for nature and nature’s creatures
  4. To help create future adults who are kind, compassionate and emotionally secure.
  5. To leave the world a better place than we found it.
  6. To help parents and teachers fulfill their purposes for existing!
  7. To keep children physically and mentally (their innocence) safe.

Location

Our Northville location is nestled conveniently off of 8 Mile & surrounded by Maybury State Park. We have beautiful scenery that accompanies our natural playground and no neighbors on 3 sides of our property!

About our program

We are a privately owned, Reggio Emilia-inspired childcare center in Northville serving children in our community aged 6 weeks old through 6 years old. We offer a nurturing environment for infants, toddlers and have several preschool/pre-k options. We are play-based and nature-focused. Our natural playground is one of a kind and our friends spend a lot off time exploring outside! We facilitate the development of the WHOLE child - this includes placing a large emphasis on social & emotional skills as well as finding unique ways to incorporate technical skill building to set children up for future academics.
