Our Teachers
Ms. Katrina is a dedicated and experienced childcare provider who brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her work. With a background as a teacher assistant at a Montessori program, a bus attendant for Detroit public schools, and a volunteer with her church Sunday school, she has a deep understanding of child development and education. As a mother of two grown daughters, she has always had a love for children and enjoys being a nurturing presence in their lives. Ms. Katrina believes that children bring a unique and beautiful presence to the world, and she cherishes the opportunity to watch them grow and thrive. With her warm and caring nature, she creates a safe and loving environment for the children in her care, allowing them to explore, learn, and play with joy and curiosity.
Philosophy
Our home based childcare program focuses on play based learning to provide stimulating experiences for children in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe that play is the foundation for building confidence and essential skills in young children. Our program offers a variety of toys and activities that encourage imagination, creativity, and social interaction. We incorporate a mix of indoor and outdoor play to cater to different interests and learning styles. By fostering a love for learning through play, children will develop the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in elementary school and beyond. Our goal is to create a supportive and enriching environment where children can explore, discover, and grow with confidence.
Location
Our program is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood with a fenced in backyard. Children will find stimulating and engaging toys outside, and they will also get to participate in gardening to help them learn more about plants. There will be plenty of time spent outside, but especially when the weather is just right! On these days we will spend extra time enjoying it by taking art activities or lunch outdoors.
We are located within ten minutes from Beaumont Hospital and off Farmington Road between 8 and 9 Mile, near M5.

Throughout the year, we offer programs that integrate music and arts, providing children with a unique and creative way to learn about various topics. These programs, in addition to what Ms. Katrina already offers, create a well-rounded and enriching environment for children to thrive in. Our focus on building strong relationships with parents truly sets our program apart and allows us to provide the best possible care and education for every child in our care.
