Our Teachers

Larisa is a dedicated and experienced home-based childcare provider with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She has a passion for working with children and has spent time in various educational settings, including afterschool and summer programs for middle schoolers and as a paraprofessional in an ASD classroom. As a mother herself, Larisa understands the importance of creating a safe and loving environment for children to thrive in. She values the close relationships that can be formed in a small group setting and is committed to providing each child with the individualized care and attention they deserve. Larisa’s ultimate goal is to ensure that the children in her care are safe, loved, and happy every day.

Philosophy

At our childcare program, we follow the play based learning philosophy in early childhood education. Play based learning is a teaching method where children learn through play and exploration. The toys we use are open-ended, meaning they can be used in a variety of ways and do not have a specific end goal. For example, children can use blocks to build structures, learn about colors, numbers, and counting, and more. This approach allows for creative thinking and play, as well as foundational skill building. In our program, children will engage in both guided and independent play, allowing them to direct their own learning with careful guidance from our educators. Additionally, we integrate arts activities such as painting to further enhance their learning experience.

Location

We have a small grassy backyard for the kids to play. We also have a toddler sized swingset with a large garage to store plenty of outdoor toys.
