Ms. Felicia Legardy is the Director of Crystal Swann Child Care LLC, she has more then two decades of experience and operates a Five-Star quality rated child care facility in her community; she is licensed with the State of Michigan to care for 12 children at one time, birth to age 10. Felicia has maintained lasting relationships with the majority of the families and children who have entered the door of her program. She enjoys the heartfelt visits and warm appreciation extended to her by her former students who invite her to attend their High School and College Graduation ceremonies.
Felicia earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Early Childhood Development at Schoolcraft College; she is currently continuing her studies with the goal of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in early education. She continues to refine her teaching techniques while fostering effective caregiver-child interactions among those new to the field.
Professional affiliations include; serving as treasurer of the Metro Detroit National Association for the Education of Young Children (MDAEYC), Treasury for Schoolcraft College Student Chapter, Rising; Advocates for Young Children in Brightmoor. She also served as a facilitator for Excellent Schools Detroit in their quality rating initiatives conducted home, center based early education sites, various Pre-K programs including Head Start, and middle schools throughout the Metropolitan area of Detroit and surrounding cities.
Ms. Legardy has a passionate and true advocate for exceptional early childhood education and development, Felicia is dedicated to enriching children’s lives by providing them with a strong educational foundation in a caring environment. Ms. Legardy believes that high-quality early care should be available to every child regardless of their zip code or socioeconomic background.
