Shannon, Owner/Provider/Educator
Shannon has a educational background in early childhood development. Shannon worked for many years as an early interventionist, providing children and families in our community with developmental education services. She also worked at a center for early intervention, supporting children 1/1 with ASD. Shannon opened her in home childcare program in 2023. She is looking forward to being an educator and role model in your child’s life!
Philosophy
As a provider that has been working in the field of early childhood education for many years, I believe that the first few years of a child’s life are what build the foundation for their future, and this is the philosophy that my program is rooted in.
My approach to teaching is to use naturalistic, play based, and interest-motivated strategies. I use these teaching strategies to support children in meeting their individualized educational and social milestones.
Here, you can expect that your child will be provided with the best quality of care. Children will be provided with an age-appropriate curriculum, a stimulating environment, constant modeling, and many social opportunities. I will encourage your child to explore their world and be curious. A home childcare environment fosters love, warmth, and inclusion giving children a sense of security. My goal is that when your child graduates my program, the foundation they built here will benefit them in their next adventure!
I am eager to start my home-based childcare program and be an educator and role model in your child’s life!
Location
We are conveniently located on a quiet dirt road, off of the main roadway. The childcare space can be found on the first story of our home, with back access to the large outdoor play area.
