Philosophy

Dear Families, Welcome to Sunlight Christian Academy of Winter Garden!

We would like to welcome our students, parents, teachers, and collaborators to SCA for what we hope will be a wonderful year of learning and many achievements, both individual and collective.

We have been committed to caring for and educating young children from the perspective of Christian Education. We are a teaching and learning space of excellence, designed to transform experiences into knowledge and actions. Our MISSION is to shine the light of God’s Word, incorporating it into learning for children who bear His image and have a place in His care. Our teaching team is highly prepared to work in early childhood education. Our curriculum combines the Frog Street Curriculum, The Beginner’s Bible, the Bible Truths, and the Cultural Enrichment Curriculum. Our schedule of activities covers all areas of knowledge, respecting each student’s individuality and promoting community in a friendly and Christian environment. Our space is stimulating and suitable for the age range of the children we serve, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Every Wednesday, we have a chapel with our Pastors, where our children have the opportunity to praise God and learn more about His Word. During breaks in the official school calendar such as Summer Vacation, Spring Break, Fall, and Winter Holidays, SCA offers optional camps which are exciting, lively, themed events. These camps are offered at affordable prices for both preschool and elementary-aged students. This way, families can maintain their normal work routine, knowing their children will be well cared for. Aware that the academic success of our students permeates the partnership between school and families, we would like to count on everyone’s participation and commitment in this great and honorable mission, which is to welcome and educate the little ones for the world.

Location

Our school is located in the City of Winter Garden. We are privileged to be surrounded by nature and open-air spaces. We can live with wild animals such as birds, rabbits, and squirrels that surround the property. As for the community, it is made up primarily of Brazilians, but we have a great cultural diversity in our school. We have children from Brazilian, Spanish, American, Haitian, and European cultures. This makes our center a place rich in experiences.
