Our Teachers

Hello! I am Marie Lina Kargar, the founder of Little Stars Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I have 34 years of experience working with young children.

I believe that the first years of a child’s life is by far the most important, helping to lay the foundation for all intellectual and emotional development to follow. Through nurturing and individualized attention, I take great care to provide a warm, friendly, and fun environment for your child, while ensuring they receive the guidance and structure they need. I strive to nurture your child’s ideas and imagination & acknowledge each child’s individuality, and validate each personality. My goal is to provide a place where children know that they are accepted, loved, protected, and wanted; helping to instill in each child a strong sense of self-worth and purpose. My job is to make sure that each child has numerous positive experiences and interactions throughout each day. It is my hope that when the day is done, and children go home, they feel happy and proud of themselves; eager to express the happenings of their day to you.

Each and every day I feel privileged to have the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a child, to join in their laughter, and to be included in their games. This is how I have chosen to spend our days. I am a very tolerant individual with an enormous amount of patience. This coupled with my love for children makes my program a nurturing childcare providers. Having three children of my own, I understand how difficult it must be to leave your child in someone else’s care. Because of this, I can appreciate the trust you put in me on a daily basis. Therefore, my goal is to build your trust by being professional, dependable, honest, and most importantly caring for your child the same way I would want my own children to be cared for. I view our chosen profession as a career, not just a job. Therefore, I look forward to keeping children smiling and safe for many years to come.

Philosophy

At Little Stars Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by exploring the world around them. It is our goal to provide an environment that helps each child to feel confident and capable. In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and learnings.

We offer childcare for children 18 months to five years old. We now also offer Universal Preschool! Our goal is to provide a fun and safe learning environment for your child, while encouraging social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in a warm and loving home, where they can feel safe and happy and can begin to build confidence and a positive self-image.

We provide well balanced nutritious meals and snacks to your child. For children of all ages we incorporate lots of fun activities into their daily schedule that include arts and crafts, free play, music, songs and dance, painting, coloring, various creative and educational projects, and much more. Additionally, for children ages two through five, we offer a structured preschool curriculum. Because of these points, we feel we are able to provide the best of both worlds (learning and fun, all in one)

Our family home childcare meets all the requirements established by the State of Colorado Community Care Licensing. We understand that you trust us to care for your child, and we take this responsibility very seriously. Location

Little Stars Wonderschool is located in a bright, welcoming single family home in the Thornton neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts), and nature area (for discovering nature and science concepts).

Our space is designed to provide both a nurturing home atmosphere along with large dedicated areas for children to actively learn and play. We provide each child an exciting world full of opportunities to explore, learn, and grow. Furthermore, we maintain a low teacher to child ratio. Therefore, your child will receive the kind of close attention the or she deserves, nurturing a foundation for development and helping to enable your child to reach their full

Children will spend about half of their time outdoors in my private yard or outdoor space. Connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.

Come see what makes Little Stars Wonderschool unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
