Our Teachers

Hello! I am Farahnaz Akhtariaraghi, the founder of Watch Me Grow Daycare & Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I have 16 years of experience working with young children.

I, Farah Akhtari, provider/teacher, believe that professional development does not stop with a degree but is a lifelong commitment!

• I have an A.A in early childhood education/child development from West Valley College
• I completed the Curriculum of Bachelor of Science Course in English Language Translator
• Full qualifications for infant and preschool director issued by West Valley College
• First Aid & CPR Training

Philosophy

Our philosophy is based on love and respect for each child as an individual. Our home is a place where young children learn to get along with others of various ages and capabilities. Our program has been designed specifically for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. All of our materials are age appropriate to this age group. It is also a place that is designed especially to provide a loving, safe, healthy, learning and developmentally appropriate environment for young children.

We believe that is important to “teach” empathy, positive social skills, manners, respectful behavior, and how to gain respect through my actions in front of the children. It is our job and pleasure to guide the children through this learning force.

Location

Watch Me Grow Daycare & Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, beautiful single family home in South San Jose right on the border of Los Gatos along 85.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include art area (for expressing emotions and ideas), music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning), and sensory area (for spatial awareness and learning through the five senses).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Watch Me Grow Daycare & Wonderschool, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.

About our program

Welcome to our loving family home daycare. Watch Me Grow Daycare meets the needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers by providing them with an opportunity to promote sound growth in a period of rapid development.

The program is designed with goals to encourage the physical, social, cognitive and emotional development of each child. We treat each child with the same quality of love and care we show towards our own children. We feel that each child enrolled at Watch Me Grow Daycare becomes one of our own children in our hearts. Thank you for becoming part of the Watch Me Grow Daycare Family.

Watch Me Grow Daycare provides breakfast and lunch, as well as morning and afternoon snacks at no additional charge. These meals are prepared on site in our kitchen and meet or exceed USDA nutritional guidelines.

Due to the wide  variety of personal preferences and possible food sensitivities for infants, parents are expected to provide all milk, formulas, and/or baby foods for their infants only (up to 12 months of age).

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/watch-me-grow-daycare-wonderschool-3663/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
